Re: No vent/drain hole on my Elite Gravel SLR back wheel After speaking to Elite, they agreed to take the risk to let me drill the holes.

Seems okay, used my Dremel drill press as to not slip. Taped the rim with masking tape, marked the spot and then drilled 2x 2mm holes on opposite sides of the rim 180 degrees from each other.

Now i still need to wait a couple of weeks for my frame to arrive so I can build my bike and test the wheels.

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
I refuse to pollute my bikes with mudguards. A Pannier for bikepacking is as much as I permit :P
A bike with full length fitted mudguards - best thing I ever did for winter riding  8)

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201 Build now complete.

Took exactly 80 days from date of order to arrive at my front door.

Build includes;
GR201 Size 52.
Shimano GRX 1X12 Mechanical.
SLX 10-51 Cassette.
Magene P515 Cranks with Wolftooth 46T chainring. Had to install a 1mm spacer on the drive side to prevent the spider from binding on the frame.
Elite SLR 38mm Gravel wheels.
Schwalbe G-One RS wheels (45mm).
YBN 12s gold chain.

From my parts bin;
Shimano SPD pedals, well used.
Specialized Avatar Saddle.

Chainring has about 2mm clearance at the chain stay.
Will be replacing the 46T with a 42T once it arrives.

Will take it for a shakedown ride in the the morning.

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
Please help me out with the sizing of this frame, it's difficult for me to decide which size would be right for me.

If I choose the size 54, then all the sizes are perfect, but the reach is too long. To compensate this, I would need an 80 mm stem which is very short.

If I choose the size 52, the reach is fine with my originally used 100 mm stem, but the stack would be very low and I would need at least 30–40 mm of spacers, which I think wouldn’t look good.

For reference, I'm 178 cm tall and my inseam is 82 cm.

Which one do you think would be more ideal?

Hi there, I'm 180cm, same inseam. Got a size 54 with a Lexon 420/80 mm handlebar. All spacers installed. Works good for me, handling is stable on fast descents.

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201 Ice crack pink.

🚴‍♂️💥 Just built up my new Tideace GV201 Pink Ice Crack Gravel Frame last week, and I’m seriously impressed! 🙌

The whole process was seamless from start to finish. The team was great to work with via email, and they even sent me a sample of the custom color I described before I confirmed the order. Super helpful! 🎨✨

The frame feels solid and high-quality – I could tell right away that this is a top-tier product. It shipped with everything I needed for a frameset: headset, bearings, axles, and even cable guides. Everything was in perfect condition. 🔧🔩

And let's talk about the ride – it’s amazing! The bike handles beautifully, and the paintjob is flawless for the price. It honestly looks better than I expected, especially with this custom finish! 😍🚴‍♂️

Delivery time was right on point, exactly as quoted. Much faster and cheaper than buying a bare carbon frame and getting it painted locally. Can’t recommend this enough! 🚀

They're Portland Design Works 55 mm full metal fenders. Expensive, but very high quality.

https://ridepdw.com/products/full-metal-fenders-700x55

I just put the same 700x55 fenders on my LT GV201 running 48c Thunderos. It's tedious, but worth it. For the seat stay bridge I used the Specialized fender bridge part #S182200001 that clamps around the seattube.
