Just thought I’d add my 2 cents to this group, as I finally received my frameset at the weekend. I ordered from Polar bicycle store on AliExpress a few months ago. However the frameset took a little longer than others,as I ordered the raw finish with the hologram logo which seems to be more difficult to manufacture and this seller was the first to have it on the market. Honestly I was a PITA customer asking loads of questions and being really picky about every detail, he answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly and never complained. For a size medium/54cm frame weight was 898g, front fork uncut was 410g, 0mm offset seatpost was 125g and a Darimo nexum drag replica in 380x100mm was 284g. The quality was outstanding and just as good as any western brand, perhaps even better. The facing on the BB shell meant there was no paint and the threads were super smooth. The handlebar and seatpost were a super tight fit with no play and the mounts for the calipers were also really well faced and the calipers were perfectly parallel with the rotors when I built it up. nobody is faking groupset parts, that's waaaaay too difficult, just not possible. Especially not so well they work with official shimano software.

My order from Yohobikes have arrived Ordered September 24, arrived October 22 (Western Australia). Initial impressions is that the interior is very clean, Bearing surfaces look smooth, Brake mounts on front look good, rear has paint overrun and needs sanding. Overall looks good enough to ride. Hello, first time post but thought I would share my frameset coming from Yoho. Will be coming from a legit V1 Ostro so I will try to compare the two once I transfer the parts over after the frameset arrives. Went down a size on the rep to a 56 vs a 58 though. If it doesn't assplode while doing an 80km mountain descent, you should be fine. Next time don't buy a fake branded frame just to impress the tight spandex boys at the Sunday coffee ride! I would say don't buy a fake if you don't know your stuff well enough. I looked at this thread in the expectation that something really bad happend, like wrong threading in the bottom bracket, or like we had with other Fauxtros that the rear tringle is off. The color of the frame ordered might not be the color delivered, but it's impossible to confirm. In any case, the Ostro VAM painted black doesn't exist. The finish received is glossy UD, and the good news is that there are no problems with the carbon fiber (what you see is normal!). It seems logical to me that Yoho would tell you to get lost. Update on my frame with some pictures. The inside walls look clean and neat. The frame itself, with all the screws and derailleur hangers weights 1142g in size 58, the fork is 426g, seat post 204g and the black inc 420/90 replica handlebar is 370g. December 14, 2025, 09:17:36 AM |

And this is why I'm not an engineer Haha, no worries! It’s definitely a rabbit hole once you start looking at stress distributions and carbon layups. I really appreciate the support. Hopefully, the seller or the AliExpress team will see the technical evidence for what it is, a clear manufacturing defect rather than a user error.
