Re: VeloBuild VB-TT-023
The order makes no sense. Why tighten the stem bolts first and then the expander? The bolts must be loose in order to adjust the headset. 1. tighten the four bolts at the front crosswise. Step by step in 0.2 Nm increments. Install the expander (the steerer tube must be shortened correctly so that the top cap cannot touch it). 2. fit the top cap and adjust the bearing play. 3. tighten stem bolts (4.2 NM is enough for me) Use a lot of carbon assembly paste on the basebar and be careful not to pinch the brake lines. Re: VeloBuild VB-TT-023
Yo yo yo, 3d printable rear bottle holder is finished! It replaces the one that comes with the frame, but elevates the bottle higher and mounts it horizontal. I suggest using a bottle mount adapter for fine tuning the fore/aft of the bottle, but it could be mounted directly. (Depending on the bottle cage, you might touch the bottle though) It is compliant with the current ironman/world triathlon rules about the mount for the rear hydration having to fit in a 30x30cm box. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7128222 August 26, 2025, 02:53:36 AM |

Re: VeloBuild VB-TT-023
And here are some files. I got the bridge and the angle piece made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black hard-anodized finish. The bridge has a variety of mounting holes, on a slightly different pattern than the original bridge. I also pre-angled the mounting pattern inwards by 1 degree to get my hands a little closer together. The angle piece requires flat-head M5 bolts which attach the angle piece to the bridge before being attached to the base bars.
