Re: Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 Carbon Road Frame R088 is done. 7.2kg on my heavier 45mm depth carbon wheelset and 6.9kg on my 1100g 30mm depth climbing wheelset. This is with pedals, power meter, bottle cages and built-in computer mount with 34cm drop bars.

Unfortunately I can't ride it due to multiple fires in the Los Angeles, USA area. The air quality right now is s**t...smells like a smokey camp fire. I'll post photos tomorrow. I had to clear out my yard of debris and ash!

FYI - I'm about 173cm and I went with a 52cm frameset.

Re: Seraph Bikes Superlight 836g X68 - Alternative to SL8 Fakes? So, I finally got my frame in today.

Here are some pictures of me unpacking it and checking it out with an endoscope camera.
These are not the best quality pictures, but you can see that everything inside the frame is really neat, with no sharp edges or anything else.

I will be building the bike with my friend this Saturday, and I will post some more pictures with the weights of the stuff and so on.

My frame is size 58.
All weights of the individual parts are:

Frame - 971,8g
Fork - 360,03g
Seatpost - 163,5g
Cockpit - 357,4g

Re: Spcycle New Mold G056 Carbon Gravel Frame I slapped 32c semi-slicks on a 2nd wheelset and put them on my G056/RF25 frame. In this configuration, it makes for a nimble all-arounder/commuter type bike with a 38t + 9-46t cassette. I did try some really skinny road tires, but they looked funny. 32c tires are probably as narrow as I'd go on this frame!

Edit: I already figured 15mm front and 32mm rear.

I am using this exact frame with the carbon ryet 3d and it fits perfectly. I think this style clamp works for 7 and 9 mm rails.

Re: TAGOOLA New Brand Launch：Carbon Fiber Road Rims and Wheelset Promotion I was planning on putting the Tagoola All-Road wheelset on my gravel bike, but opted to try running 30c tires with the wider 24.2mm internal width on my R088 road bike. The wheels came with a tension chart for each wheel, a free pedal keychain, but sadly no spare spokes. I ordered my wheels with XD, but since I opted to use them on my road bike, I swapped out the XD for an HG freehub I had laying around. Wheels came pre-taped, plus they came with air valves installed. Mounting the tires were fairly easy and I was able to bead both tires with just a floor pump. Anyways, probably the last purchase I'm making from AliExpress.  ;D

I’m building it up with Ultegra Di2 - these are go zone 30mm rims for when it’s wet and windy and I’ve a set of carbon speed D60CU-31 T1100 wheels on the way

Will keep you updated on the build and a complete breakdown when I’m finished

Very impressed so far and the paint job looks amazing

Re: Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 Carbon Road Frame Short update from my side. Today I could do the first longer ride (68km), all in all I have done 145km on the bike so far and I would like to summarize my first impressions. The bike is agile and responsive and accellerates very well. It is definitively stiffer than my other bikes (I sense that in my bum area after the ride today…) with the seat post being the most flexible part. This was expected, I guess this is a feature of a bike with such a short seat tube. And my seatpost sticks out particularly far from the seat tube since I I have a small frame given my body height.

By the way, I had redone the complete installation of bottom bracket, cranks and pedals by the book (I love Sram‘s video instructions). I turned out that I had forgotten the washers for the pedals. The creaking is gone now. But, the seat post started moving again. I removed the tape and got myself an (insanely priced) original SL8 seatpost clamp, which is a liitle bit wider in diameter and when tightened really tight. The Spcycle clamp was always a bit loose also when fully tightened.

To sum it up: I like the bike very much an am looking forward to the next rides.

Edit: Garmins‘s original Varia mount for seatposte like this does not work well on this bike. I need definitively another one.
