Re: XM Carbon Speed - "Gran Tourismo" Frameset T47-68 is pointless, it does nothing better than BSA, is heavier and less aero. T47-86 moves the bearings inboard, which is better from an aero and load path standpoint, but the former is kinda meaningless for the forces a human can produce. It comes with the downside of interfering with the mounting of some power meter spiders and the spline flanges have to be tiny which worsens tool engagement. Also since the splines on it run all the way through the flange, it's easier to scratch the frame with the tool during installation. T47-77 is just the advantages and disadvantages of each on their respective sides. All still heavier than BSA.

Re: Delamination on Elitewheels ENT 2.0 @ 80 PSI. Claim denied. Fair? That's total BS from elitewheels, I will not consider buying from them again. 80 psi on 32mm is not high at all and well within specs. For example Continental advises a max psi of 85-102 for a 32mm GP5k.

I would do credit card charge back.

Before we all roast elitewheels, can you confirm you purchased from the OFFICAL Ali store store ? There are a couple of sellers running under a similar name.

Re: 580g climbing frame, anyone tried it? somewhat off topic, but i wish we'd normalize hydro hose routing in the front end in a way that's more maintenance friendly. I have a problem with my rear brake and i dont want to look at it because it's going to take me a full day because of the hose running in the cockpit, in the headset, and into the frame. I dont mind internal frame routing, in fact it makes sense, but we really need a simpler front end. And obviously, that's even worse w mechanical shifting. And for traveling by plane, it's such an ordeal.

Re: New Avenger R8-RS I'm starting to get aero bike fatigue. Of course this isn't the fault of any particular brand. But it is reminiscent of the one-bike-to-rule-them-all Tarmac SL7 trends of 2020-2023. Everyone is trying to gain marketshare. I get it.

My current numbness makes me wanna sell everything, buy the latest Giant Propel, and call it day.

Smart move by pricing it $1499. Basically undercutting everyone including themselves. And the geometry is closer to the original T1500. I don't just understand the 3rd-tier aspect.

Winspace got high on their own stuff after first mover success and started asking crazy high prices for their products. Seems like literally created a new product to undercut themselves in order to stay competitive to up and coming chinese brands.

Here is your problem. Shimano system is great when setup properly. Buy shimano REAL pads from Shimano, not AE.

Re: Basing your purchase off a bottom bracket IE: BB86 vs a T47 I was repelled by BB86 even though it is a very good design - the choice of high quality 24 mm axle crankset was pretty much limited to Shimano, but then you could only get pedal-based PM...
With the advent of Cybrei-like cranksets this is no longer an issue and I would choose BB86 if there is an option for that.
