That’s what I thought… You always come in with all these hot takes on every post because you can hide your identity.

Seraph Bikes TT-X70 vc Spcycle R088 New Seraph frame TT-X70 looks the same as the SPcycle R088, but the first impression is that it is a bit heavier.

Weight TT-x70 size 52: 870.2 grams

Weight R088 size 58: 858.5 grams

Has anyone had experience with both manufacturers or knows what the difference might be between the two frames in terms of carbon layup?

Re: Thinking of Going Deeper Counterfeit Frames – UPDATE and Fund Link I'm in agreement with Serge here.

Focusing your time and energy on X68 vs SL8 comparisons is the way to go. Rather than investing in another clone. Scrutinizing both frames with impunity will go a long way for the members here.

Re: TAN TAN X67
Do you mind sharing price paid for the frame set? And did you ask for weight?

499$ with handlebar and seatpost, 200$ for two frames shipping.

Weight without paint for the frame in 45 is 758g, 928 with paint, derailleur hanger, screws and the horrible metal thingy at the back

Re: Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 Carbon Road Frame
Does anybody have issues with the headset play?

I have the frame with integrated SPcycle handlebars.
There is enough clearance for the top cap to not touch the expander, the bearings are mounted in the correct direction, the expander is torqued to ~ 5.5 Nm, gaps between frame and fork/cone spacer look good, spacers are „squeezed“ together nicely, …

However, there is still some play in the headset and I have already torqued down the bolt more than I would like/I am used to.

Just to follow up on this…the top cap DID touch the expander :-[ I switched to a flat top cap instead of the conical and the play could be adjusted properly. My first road bike… ::)

I attached some photos of my build.

Be aware of Spcycle (sp-cycle.com) / TanTan Some context first: I have dealed with several Asian suppliers before and have not had any problems so far. Some even exceeded my expectations and offered a really good customer service. Unfortunately, Sp-Cycle cannot be included to the list of trustful suppliers.

Short version of my story:
Bought the Gravel Frame G068 last year on July 29th, so roughly one year untill now. Building quality was ok. The brakemounts needed some facing, besides that, nothing serious. However, after a few weeks of normal riding I experienced a play in the fork. Turned out the "FlipChip" Insert in the dropout rattled loose and the play was getting so bad that it was unrideable. First they did not respond anything to my mails. After a "not so nice" mail they were willing to send me a new fork. This took roughly 2 months (!) untill I received my new fork.

Then, two weeks ago, during normal riding on a flat road my braking suddenly felt "strange". I had a look at the fork and realized that on of the bushing/sockets of the brake mount snapped out of the fork! I could wiggle the brake mount with my bare hands. I attached a picture for reference. I again contacted them without any response. After a serious mail, they replied that "I can do what I want, but they will not send a new fork". Full transparency: After that, I told them that I will publish my story, if they do not agree to fullfill warranty.

Normally I am the one that "defends" Asian suppliers when someone is concerned and talks about Carbon braking, serious defects and so on. But in this case I really feel that this is a serious defect that can lead to really serious injuries. If they would have even responded in a professional way, I would be willing to accept that, but the way they are dealig with customers is just plain unprofessional.

Re: Serenade 4550 Wavy Wheelset SUB 1200g steel spokes 500USD You’re welcome, buddy. By the way: I could do without AI repeating my entire post when you answer. Keep it short and simple. Makes for easier reading in my opinion.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! Quick aero bottle review. Nice enough with one major flaw-the nozzle is a very old school flap type that doesn't have a secure closure. Probably limits how much you want tot the dt bottle.
Everything else is similar to original, plastic cage instead of carbon, seems to hold an normal bottle "ok" but not crazy secure. I don't think it would be a major issue with bottles on the road but time will tell. Smaller opening than a normal bottle, will need funnel for powders or another container to mix in .  Cage itself is 43g.
