Rule of thumb. As long as you DONT go for the absolutely FAKE branded items on there (PNS, PAS, MAAP) you will be happy with the purchase.

Re: Castelli Espresso Bib shorts Equivalent Rode the $11 shorts today. Yeah, the straps could be more elastic but they're fine on the bike. Only went out for 1.5 hrs but was going hard, and these are unbelievably nice for $11. My only complaint is that they're just a tad longer than I'd like, but that's a personal thing.

I've worn Assos and Castelli for years. Usually used  as I have a real issue dropping $100 or double that for bike shorts. Not going back. I doubt the average Chinese brand  is as durable, but the mostly as comfy and I can treat them as disposable if the die.

Inbike neck warmer (no link. can't find) I never ordered these. I ordered a jersey from OTC store and they didn't have it so instead of cancelling my order they sent me a neck warmer as a sorry gift and then refunded me. I still found a use for it in summer. Leaving for passes super early at 7-8°c and to not become a redneck from the sun. I was very happy to have it. Easy recommend

Rockbros half finger gloves (somehow vanished from my purchases page. i think the listing is gone): No padding but still helps a little against numb hands, and worked great against the sun. Needed more padding nonetheless

Re: Chinese cycling clothes Received this Raudaux jersey. This is what $12 buys. It -looks- nice but the fabric is like wearing a tent. Very heavy. I havent worn it on a ride but it does not feel breathable or ventilated.

If you live somewhere cold maybe it is an option?

Custom RoPa Cycling Aero Gravel Suit From Idea to Product: The Story of My Custom RoPa Cycling Aero Gravel Suit
For a long time, I'd had the idea of getting my own cycling apparel custom-made in Asia. Inspired by the gravel trend and the desire for longer tours, I wanted a one-piece suit that was not only aerodynamic but also highly functional. The goal was clear: an Aero Gravel Suit with integrated cargo pockets on the legs and a special back pocket for a hydration bladder.

Sourcing Materials and Finding the Right Manufacturer
From the start, using high-quality materials was a top priority. My main focus was on getting a good chamois, ideally from Elastic Interface. My search began on Alibaba, where I contacted various OEMs. The responses were almost all quick and friendly, with many offering to develop a suit like this. The Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) was usually between 5 and 10 pieces, which was perfect for me and my cycling buddies.

Ultimately, I chose Tarstone. They already had a similar prototype, which gave us a great starting point to build upon. My contact there was Daisy, whom I can highly recommend. Her patience, quick and detailed responses, and willingness to help made the entire process a real pleasure. A huge thank you to her!

Our goal was to produce 5 to 10 suits for me and my friends at a final price of under €100 per suit, including shipping, customs, and taxes.

From Design to the RoPa Cycling Brand
With the technical details settled, it was time for the design. I used AI for inspiration, but the results weren't quite what I had in mind. I wanted a clean, simple design that mirrored current trends from major brands. In the end, I created the designs myself using Inkscape and the templates Daisy provided.

However, the AI was a big help with the logos. This is how our fictional brand, RoPa Cycling, came to be—a name my buddy Robert and I came up with years ago (Ro=Robert, Pa=Patrick). The logo and lettering are now featured on the chest and arm. We fittingly named the model the AeroGRVLSuit. As a show of appreciation, I also placed the logo for Peter's brand, XMCS, on the leg cuff to support him.

Materials, Order, and First Impressions
I made no compromises on the materials. I chose a YKK zipper and an Elastic Interface Paris HP chamois. Although Tarstone doesn't use Italian Miti fabrics, the ones they provided feel equally high-quality. The back pocket for the hydration bladder is designed to fit a 3-liter bladder.

The initial order and payment were handled through Alibaba, and all further communication and photo samples were shared via WhatsApp. The shipping via DHL Express was a bit more expensive, but the suits arrived in Germany within 6 days. The customs and tax process was simple thanks to DHL.

In total, I ordered seven suits: two different color designs and one special women's cut.

My first impression is very positive! The quality is good—maybe not "premium," but definitely solid. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test the suit on the road yet due to a recent crash. Sizing was a bit of a challenge since the charts weren't entirely clear. As a general rule of thumb, going one size up from your European size seems to be a good fit.

Next Steps and Community Discussion
Once my friends and I have thoroughly tested the suits, I'll provide an update here.

A tale of three Rockbros pieces:

The shorts

These Rockbros shorts are the biggest tease. When I opened the packet and tried them on, I thought I'd struck gold. The lycra felt excellent, padding was plush, sizing was absolutely spot on and the straps are a lovely, stretchy material. First impressions were outstanding. Seamless cut looks super clean.

Then I rode in them, and here comes the letdown...

... the leg grippers! They're woeful. They would ride up the leg straight away, causing bunching and chafing. Couldn't believe it - they'd got everything else absolutely right, and then fucked it all up with the leg grippers. If Rockbros fixed those they'd have a truly excellent pair of shorts on their hands, but for now, it's disappointment. Thankfully the returns process was simple as.

This is the one. The duck's nuts. The dog's bollocks. Potentially the first piece of kit I've ever bought off AliExpress that's genuinely good. And like, not just 'good for the money', but genuinely really damn good. My only (only!) criticism is that it doesn't have a zipped pocket, but I can live just fine without that. Material is excellent, sleeve length is just right for me, quality of lycra is fantastic, and the fit - chef's kiss. Only available in white and black. Even the branding looks decent.

Very good for a pair of cheap bib shorts with a pocket. Definitely a step up from the cheap YKYWBike bib shorts and close to their mid-price ones. Not plagued by the same leg gripper issue that I had on the more premium pair, these use a much better gripper. Quality of lycra and padding is quite good. This is, overall, a good budget pick.
