Re: Another all-road/endurance frame topic... My SP Cycle G069 checks all the boxes. Except that it can take up to 45mm tires but that is a good thing IMHO (more future-proof)

Re: Another all-road/endurance frame topic... Don't limit yourself to having to having to have built in rack frame mtg locations.

Based on personal experience over the past 5 years of Bikepacking \ camping, on very challenging and rough gravel courses, I have migrated to using a seat post rack clamp an "Old Man Mountain Axle kit".

Their thru axles put the weight of your gear right over the rear hub, and the seat post clamps locate the rack's front mount in a great position.

Re: Value wheelset for 35mm tires Those are a bit narrower one. Iam building bike for 35mm road tyres to and I think https://www.xmcarbonspeed.com/Productinfo.asp?f=1650 these one are the best choice for that.
I tested now Michelin PRO 5 in 35mm and on 28 internal width rim they measure exactly real 37mm on 50psi so kind of perfectly aligned with this rim.

Iam going to order wheels on those rims and put Michelin PRO5 35mm on back (real 37mm) and Michelin PRO 5 32mm in front (on 28internal width rim they are measuring 35mm). I think that would be good combo.

Re: Value wheelset for 35mm tires I'd get the elite ent gravel, I have the 35mm deep with i think 23-24mm internals with 35mm gp5000 AS TR. So far so good, hit my fair share of pot holes/ bumps and I weight 90kg/200lbs

Re: Budget wheels; Elite, LightCarbon, XMC? For budget wheels all 3 are good options.
When it comes to wheels XMC has my preference above LightCarbon and Elite. I have good experience with Peter from XMC for many wheels with fast response (incl aftersales) and never had quality issues.
