Re: XM Carbon Speed - "Gran Tourismo" Frameset I like the look of this frame but, according to the geometry chart, the standover is really high/there are no small sizes. VeloBuild's new gravel frame has a similar issue. Anyone with a sub 80cm/31.5" inseam is going to struggle to fit this frame. That is probably over half of all people. It seems like the designers forget than when you make the headtube taller or need to accommodate big tires, you have to slope the top tube to keep the standover from getting unreasonably tall.

From the recent conversation there were two deal breakers. 1. max single ring size of 42 which is way too small for a road bike.
2. They say it “should” and “theoretically” work with XPLR. It’s all a bit too fluffy to commit to buying a Frameset and groupset to try for myself.

Ah well, gorgeous looking frame.

There is absolutely no consistency in the responses, which is my concern.
I was told a 42t would be the largest, which I know is incorrect. I also know a 54t with a 45mm chain line is unlikely to be possible.

Regarding UDH. They’ve modified the hanger which is ok, but it sounds like they’ve also slimmed down the frame which would necessitate a spacer for the rear mech to attach.

If that’s the case, it would need to be precise as there are no adjustments on the UDH rear mechs. They don’t have High/Low or B.

I’m just not convinced by any of the technical information they’re currently providing.
