Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero Gravel bike
Come on, stop the hyperbole. How fast are you gonna ride?

Well i'm trynna be faster than the guy in front of and behind me!!!!!!!!!!

Its not hyperbole, a 42 max chain ring would legitamately rule this bike out for those who wanted to race on a 1x system. I'm not talking about a group ride on the weekend.

Lots of races ive been in has seen me close to topped out on my 48/31 2x.

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero Gravel bike For me: 46T for the mountain gravel races, 50T for the flat gravel races with a 10-44T in the back. Sure you can ride flat races with a 44 or 46T, but when it comes to saving watts on the drivetrain, it's about having a straight chainline for most of the riding time. Translating this to frame design: maximum chainring size is part of the 'optimized for performance' aspect.

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero Gravel bike Some updates you may be interested in:

- Branding: in 2026 it will remain the latest XMCS logo as shown. Also possible to order without decals on DT
- Working on something similar to AERYS for 2027 -> trademark applications take time
- We have taken the feedback about the chainring size to heart and Peter / designers will investigate if they can make some small refinements to the chainstay so that we can fit - at best - a 50T. May - according to Peter - result in the frame no longer being compatible with mechanical groupsets as it may get tight to route cables through the DS chainstay. Once this has been clarified, I’ll update here (and on our website, instagram/other channels).

Re: Evolve Cima GR build / tire clearance I have the Evolve Cima GR in Sahara Nude. I don’t fully agree with the tire clearance talking on Weight weenies forum (also the Di2 2X talk is nonsense. There is a cable port under the derailleur front hanger and a seatpost battery clip included. In don’t think they even read the manual).

Normally I don’t post on forums but will share my own measurements:

Front
Tufo Thundero 48 - 9Velo GV45 SW (iw 32mm): measured width 49,5mm with 6,25mm clearance both sides.
> This is 6mm nominal clearance for 50mm width (pretty standard)

Back
Tufo Thundero 44 - 9Velo GV45 SW (iw 32mm): measured width 47mm with 7mm clearance both sides.
> This is about 5,5mm nominal clearance for 50mm width

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero Gravel bike
GRT is 2x as well.

The 1x is stated as that chainring is biger and sits more towards the frame. And bigger sizes (of 1by) currently do not fit).

I have my eyes on it as well. And also want to set it with 2x Di2. But nobody can say the tyre clearance in the rear with Di2 FD. Probably less than 57mm, but not necessary. My Addict Gravel is more limited by chainstays, than with FD cage.

Also, hopoefully someone can also confirms, that frame has a hole for Di2 wire for FD. Funny, Evolve Cima GR is also 2x, but reports say, it has no FD wire hole, so it is only Sram possible.

That also makes me wonder, if GRT Shimano battery goes in the seatpost, or somewhere else.

@Requiem84, maybe you can explain a bit further?

Evolve Cima GR has a front Di2 cable hole behind the derailleur hanger and a seatpost battery holder. There is even a manual online on the website…
