Re: XCADEY VENTUS Carbon Cranks + PM
Not super familar with SRAM standards but yes can see 3 bolt might potentially fit (albeit not necessarily a good idea!) 3 bolt is out-dated anyway, so does seem if you get this PM you will be committed to those Xcady cranks. ~£300 seems a decent deal for PM carbon crankset but there is just so little information about these cranks and they're not 'that' cheap... (going to price up other options, and might cancel) It is cheap for what it is - a carbon crank with 24mm titanium spindle. From what I can see, there's no cheaper option than that for an equivalent spec. A Leese Pro with an XCadey Easton power meter comes pretty close at about $380 USD. You'd probably be the only person left wanting a 175mm crank in this world where everyone is going shorter! I'm not surprised that most manufacturers would not even make them any more for new models with demand so low. August 26, 2025, 06:21:00 AM |

Re: XCADEY VENTUS Carbon Cranks + PM
The splined interfaces would be making direct contact way before there would be any significant shear stress going through the bolts. To get to that much force on the bolts, that entire splined interface would have to fail and shear off, and that's just not happening at human torques. Besides, no reason for 3 bolts on xcadey to be weaker than 3 bolts on standard sram. It's supposed to be the exact same design, just adding another two bolts, presumably to get around the patent.

Re: XCADEY VENTUS Carbon Cranks + PM
Mine has completely failed ... it suddenly started to either read crazy high or crazy low, while the cadence seems to be reporting correctly. No amount of caibrations fixes it. Xcadey PM is an absolute crap as a product. Luckily they seem to not duck the responsibility. At least with my case with spider PM I've bought from Alix. Ii had battery drains and inconsistent readings from the start and reported it to the seller. He checked with xcadey and I was asked to perform few things like charging from socket (not powerbank), re torquing, calibration. Whole process of testing it took few months, but it was my fault as I had a lot of work and was traveling a lot and wasn't using this particular bike too much. Because of that 90 days free return on AliExpress passed. But I talked to the seller, he contacted xcadey and they replied that basically there is something wrong with my unit and for 50$ covering shipping fees etc seller offered me a brand new unit and didn't have to hassle with sending the old one back. Haven't installed the new one yet. I hope it will be working good. I asked them clearly to check it before sending, hope they've listened. Even if it will be working fine I will never again buy any product from xcadey again,, it's a total lottery and absolute lack of QC. If it won't be working I will just have to write it off and will buy Sigey (which I should have done in a first place). December 24, 2025, 12:12:05 PM |

Re: XCADEY VENTUS Carbon Cranks + PM
I've just sent XCadey the data from my testing yesterday and have requested a meeting with the team at Shanghai Cycle early next month. I hope something positive can come out of the time spent on this one. April 02, 2026, 05:30:38 PM |
