Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe
Apparently you can also get a custom paint, besides a matt black / gloss black finish.

Drooling over the possiblity to have this frame in raw carbon with clear coating

Black UD with matte protective coating for me  8) I figure it's easier to add colour via the finishing kit, so I have some matching neon yellow bar tape and bottle cages ready.

By the way in case nobody else checks the product page every few days, it's now saying 'frames available and stock after ISO4210 test ;we will start shipment 20th Sep'.

So better late than never.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe Okay so what you will need is a screw extractor. A proper bike shop should have them and be able to help you with that. Otherwise you should be able to get a set at any decent hardware store, but they should also be used with a power drill.

My god ... am both embarrassed and grateful for your comments! Would have never realized that the seat clamp was missing.
Thank you guys! seriously! Double checked every corner of the box and every plastic bag. Believe mine came without a seat clamp. Just reached out to Velo to send it.

cheers!

That's what we're here for ;)
On a more serious note, get your forks and bearings checked, you're going to get hurt if it's loose.

@patliean1 did you install the headset bearing with the angled surface (as shown in the picutre) facing inside the headset, or facing outside of the headset? you don't seem to have a wobbling fork (due to lack of mentioning it in your videos). whenever i press the front brake, handlebar and fork move slightly forward.

I'd like to think that I installed the headset bearings the wrong way

Headset bearings are always installed with the outer 45° chamfer edge facing into the frame of each cup.

VeloBuild supplied a thin metal C-shaped headset shim. It allowed me to get proper headset compression without rubbing the frame.

Re: Xiamen Carbon Speed 11 years anniversary promotion 9.24- 12.24 2025
I saw a nero show video a while back, where they talked about a Magene wheel that lost its hub because one of the spokes broke. Is that a possibility with the 21/21H hubs? It’s probably a technical possibility, albeit a rather small one?

The newer 20/20H (and lower number of spokes) hubs do not have that problem, I assume?

the 21/21 hubs yes....possible if a spoke broke or de-tension it could potentially slip out the side because it is open.

20/20 or others (more or less spoke) that has the through hole design would be the "safer" ones if you are talking about that use case.

Latest iteration.
65mm XMCS wheels
300mm wide gravel riser bars with 150mm stem.
Moved seatpost bottle down to close gaps and keep weight as low as possible.

Re: Long Teng / Mondince aero frame FM126 Indiegogo Videos from Jack of the prototype.
this frame obviously isn't monocoque.   <--- Turns out, it should say ONE PIECE MONOCOQUE. The original frame was supposed to come from one mould. This is coming from 2 moulds. How much that matters to the end customer is beyond my pay grade.
the fork looks fast
i like the BB area, looks stiff
I like that the downtube looks fast.
it looks like my LT268, but meaner, i like it.
