Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) Hiya, I have ordered the Yishun R1058_D. It is different to the new lightcarbon, they have different geometry. Lightcarbon is the direct to consumer arm of yishun who are the OEM manufacturer, however you can sometimes order directly from Yishun. Apparently you can't always. I started a separate thread for the Yishun 1058D if you were interested, just search it. The model is there own design and mould, they have their own R&D department and are registered as a company in germany. You can get the frames with a 5 year warranty for 20% additional cost which I went for, all in it cost about 800gbp. The frame is a mix of T700 and T800 carbon, T800 on all high stress areas. Yishun are the OEM manufacturer for Ribble in the UK and Da Rosa in italy as well as some other small italian brand, the quality is supposed to be top notch. I am expecting delivery end of august/early september.

Re: XDR Road Cassette I'm using the Goldix XDR cassettes with no problems so far. Though I would use these cassettes unless on an immersive waxed chain and the precision shifting of an electronic groupset. Periodically I also clean the cassette with boiling hot water to remove any excess wax build up to keep everything spotless. Greased chains will eventually break everything, regardless of OEM and 3rd party lightweight parts alike.

Re: XDR Road Cassette I'm using those for quite a long time, for Avenger I have 10-36 and for Elves 10-33, both working great, the weight as declared by producer. I used them even with non flattop chain, and they worked well however a bit noiser.

Re: XDR Road Cassette I have ztto 9-50 that was on my gravel bike, ztto 10-44 thats on my road bike and 11-36 goldix that on my tri bike.

They all work, shift ok, but the noise is way more noticeable than on brand cassettes: it was bothering me so much on gravel that i went and replaced it with the sram rival, and I'm really tempted to do the same on road.

it seems the machining is just not as good as shimano or sram ones - if You are not bothered by sound, go for it, otherwise I'd rather look on 2nd hand market for cassettes removed from new bikes that the owner wants to spec differently - can get really great deals :)
