Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) How will a 100% tariff starting November affect those of us who have frames on order?

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Couldn't resist ripping it all open to get a quick look - the raw carbon finish has exceeded my expectations, its beautiful!
Hard to photograph the effect, but took a few snaps to try and show it off.
The frame looks to be finished to a very high standard - and I love the little storage door!
One tiny point is the decals are on top of the lacquer, I would have preferred beneath for a lovely smooth finish and no chance of getting them damaged, but its only a small point.
Overall im delifghted and can't wait to get it built up.

I was hoping to get the laser logo also but was told by Wendy it was out of stock and would cost an additional 300usd. Anyone else been told similar?

I might've totally misinterpreted what i was told but from what I understood was if they have the "Light Carbon" laser logo in stock, there is no extra cost however if you're looking for a customized laser logo then its a $300-400 USD cost for the sheet. @bsharp77 was there an extra cost for you?

For the decals, I recommend running a price simulation with Speed Decals here in Italy. I’ve already had stickers made with them and the quality is excellent. If I’m not mistaken, Patrik Lino on YouTube has also worked with them.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Just had an idea that might solve a problem I've been having with my Garmin Varia Radar (RTL515).

I'm thinking of storing a very small power bank in the downtube storage compartment and running the cable to pop out at the seatpost so that I could connect to the Varia to give it extra power.
I tend to only get around 5hrs out of mine and want to do longer rides, so this seems like a superb, neat solution.

The only thing that would be a problem would be exposing the charging port & cable connection if it happened to be wet, so I guess it would mean either disconnecting while its raining, or finding a little waterproofing solution for when the cable is connected to the Varia.
Any ideas on this would be welcome, as it tends to rain quite a lot here :-)

Yet another win for the LCR018-D!

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Finished the build tonight at long last.
What a beautiful bike - the raw carbon gloss finish really is amazing and I’m so glad I went for it.
Bike was so easy to build.

A quick 5 minute test confirmed the bike is solid as a rock and as comfortable as you would ever hope for - the geometry is superb. To be able to climb straight onto a bike and feel instantly comfortable and at home says it all.

Ultegra 8170 is absolutely ridiculous. Silent to the point where I wasn’t even sure I changed gear and so fast across the range.

Weighed in around 7.35kg with pedals which is right on target.

Hope to get an hour out on it tomorrow so hopefully will be able to report back after that, but initial impressions are really, really positive.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Black and Gold looks also nice and the model name on the seat tube is also a good position.

Might invest in some decals with the same design on my frame.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) It comes with a "light" UDH hanger.
And for the pouch, i think it's 10$ extra when ordering.
The first few orders might got it by default, but better ask or check the PO which you will get from Light Carbon.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road)
Please excuse this question if it sound silly; do I need two of these bearing for one headset?
Yes - one for the top, one for the bottom.

Today I´ve recieved the pictures of my frameset. A bit more colorful then all these black beauties :)
Lets see how the decals shine in daylight - they should have the same color as the dropouts but look a bit darker. In the End, if I cant stand it, Ill get matching ones later on...

Its a 58 - should arrive in the next 15 days
