Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Will anyone who has the handlebars + out front mount and a Garmin 1050 report back if it fits with the mount they provide? Seems like you need 8 cm to the tip of the mount out front from the bars to make it fit.

I'm a squeaky wheel. I'd be squeaking loudly. It's in LC's interest to always send QC photos prior to shipping, not just for the customer's sake but their own. They should require customer sign-off before shipping. I'd be making a real stink about this.

Since someone from LC follows this conversation, as a potential but uncommitted customer, I'm watching this closely to see of LC steps up and makes this right...or doesn't. It matters to me.

I'm also following what happens with the frame with the damaged headset bearing cup.

First ride yesterday and got  issues that were discussed on this forum.
Integrated storage door that tend to open (as I was aware I did check regularly to not loose it during the ride).
After the ride I noticed that the small screw of the closing mechanism needed to be retightened. If this occur again I will add some threadlocker on it.
By safety I add a strap to maintain the door in case of problem : once the issue will be solved, I'll remove it.
I also have the saddle tilt and don't find a way to use my torquewrench to ensure the 16Nm. I tried to tighten it as strong as I can and will see.

First ride impression need to be confirmed with the right tire (I have ordered some 32 mm) : I installed temporarily some 28 mm tires but have some 32 mm in order (on my previous bike I have some 32 mm so of course the confort is not the same).
Anyway I noticed that I was much more confident with this bike in the downhill.
Still a big fan of the raw carbon glossy finish

I guess racks and fenders are less ideal with the GRT.

Anything else it will handle for something like that. It’s a very rugged frame, not a svelte one like the Xmcs VRT.

Maybe geo a bit sporty for those ultra’s, but the riser handlebar is then the way to go.

Re: XMCS - 2026 VRT This just rocked up. I won’t likely have a chance to get it built up until the weekend, but first impressions are very very positive:

- Nothing needs facing, and the threads in the BB shell are perfect and don’t need a reap
- Overall the frame feels incredibly robust. Pinching the downtube as hard as I can, there’s no flex or depression (unlike an ER:One). This may not ultimately mean anything as medial stiffness is not what makes a frame stiff, but it does inspire confidence in its durability (unlike the ER:One, which cracked itself)
- Paint and decals are very well done and look premium
- I also got Peter’s riser bars and these are as stiff as they come. The quality of the build on them is also very high.

If I wasn’t on new Dad duty every night I’d have this thing built yesterday.
