Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe
Frame arrived on Wed.

Very well packaged, and all wrapped in that stretchy foam roll.  Haven't fully unpacked it yet - want to keep it protected to take to get built.  But I did open up the bars enough to look them over and confirm they are the 380/110 I ordered so very happy about that.  The finish that I can see so far is excellent so no reason to believe the rest of it won't be just as good.

Getting it built next week, will update with any observations on the build and some photos once complete.

Aw you tease, don't leave us hanging.... Get some photos up ;D

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe
I'm sold on the look of the frame, although i find the all-black pretty boring. Does anyone know if they do colored clearcoat over raw carbon?
on the velobuild website you can pay a little extra for custom paint, depending on the amount of colors and/or effect.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe
the frame in the facebook post seems to be a 490 from my measurements, not sure if it's mentioned but it's a small or even extra small

Well done! They said it's a 49 on their Insta.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe
i left a comment asking this in the instagram post, let's see what they reply  ;D

If you dont get a reply, email Chris and ask. I got the option of regular clearcoat on raw carbon. But think they can sort you out!

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe slowly getting in shape! love the frame (size 49)

you can also have your seatpost painted in the same style as the frame, in case that's your thing.

but first time building a bik for me - can somebody tell me what that black ring is good for?

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe Chris sent me these recently of size 46 and 49 in case anyone else wants to have a look as well. Seems like one of the photos is the same as the one on Instagram.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe
It's more severe than that.

I cannot remove the rear axis anymore, because it's already cross-threaded with the udh rear hanger.

I can't remove the udh rear hanger, because its cross-threaded to the axis.

I can't remove the axis, because the head screw is completely stripped (very soft material).

my rear wheel is completeley locked

Not sure how much of this is down to user error and not having a professional bike mechanic background or experience and how much it is down to quality.
I've seen clients do this with much much more expensive western frames.
