Hello everyone again. My bike is assembled. The wheels, bottle holder, and stem are temporary, and I'll be using different ones. It feels sturdy but also very comfortable. The bumps in the road are more noticeable in the hands than in the back. I tried this bike on long, relatively flat sections in the aero position and on relatively long and steep climbs. I haven't climbed high yet, as it's cold in the mountains. I really like the way it rides and accelerates. And of course, the look is very cool. The climate allows me to ride sometimes in winter, but I often have to use the thinkrider. The racing season will start in April, and I hope to achieve good results. January 12, 2026, 11:18:43 PM |

Xcadey GEN 2 - power sources comparison
I finalized my testing of three power meters. It took place from 16.12.2025 until 06.01.2026. All screens and readings of power were made on https://compare-the-watts.com/. All files you can find here - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zK7ZtPF-K969JV58sm26zGjgVzL1gek8?usp=sharing. Some photo examples I attached in the post. I will add some videos into the google drive, from rides and showing the calibration etc. Comparison is also on Facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/975602387895509/?ref=share. The tests and all workouts were recorded on: Garmin Fenix 8, Huawei Mate tablet and Bryton S810. The following devices have been compared: 1. Favero Assioma Duo, used since 2021 (4.5 years) 2. Elite Justo, used since 2023 (almost 3 years) 3. Xcadey gen 2 easton 110 BCD (almost new) Before every ride sources 1 and 3 were calibrated as Elite Justo is self-calibrated device, however, two times it was also calibrated and before all tests. The firmware for all devices has been updated, and it is the newest possible. All the data is on my google drive including all original fit files for all dates. Unfortunately, several times I had some issues, it was not related to connection or to any power source but the recording device ( I believe). Sometimes it was due to changing windows on my tablet and then My Whoosh device turned off the training, or I wanted to change recording device, and switch to another source. During the testing period so for full three weeks which include many different workouts all sources showed rather consistent results, and the results were not identical of course. However, some unexpected episodes also happened, which I describe below: 1. For each workout, for each day you can find fit file; 2. For each workout you can find general screen and some detailed comparisons for the interval part if occurred; 3. Except for the FTP test from 03.01.2026 all workouts have been done using ERG mode; 4. For one workout I switched, and the Bryton S810 was a controllable device of the smart trainer. For most of the time the Elite Justo controlled the watts and workout in ERG mode; 5. Screens are from Compare the watts; 6. Sometimes the workout timeline is moved, that is due to the different methods of pausing the activity for each device, mostly the MyWhoosh (elite justo) recording is moved. I adjusted it in the Compare the watts by time offset, and the detailed comparison is correct. Due to that, the average watts for the entire workout are different and not correct. Then the interval part can be compared; 7. For Favero and Xcadey there are L/R balance data; 8. Sprints are much better recorded on Favero and Xcadey, and showed more reliable watts; 9. The maximum data from Compare the watts and recorded in the file is different for Favero and Xcadey; 10. I noticed different readings of watts during workout for all devices, for all of them I have 3s average watts so that should not be the case; 11. I identified some issues with displaying watts, I connect Xcadey and Favero to Garmin Fenix 8 and to MyWHoosh and it presented different readings; 12. I connected Xcadey as power source to mywhoosh and Elite Justo as controllable device for workouts in Mywhoosh, and the watts were displayed different on the Mywhoosh, and different on Garmin Fenix 8; 13. Favero and Xcadey are more sensible and reads all fluctuations of wattage more reliable; The results overall: 1. Are consistent for all power sources, the graphs, watts and the cadence recorded are not identical but similar; 2. The comparison to other sets is always different, never been the same and within 1%, between the sources; 3. The graphs are very similar, Favero and Elite Justo are closer, and the GAP is probably around 1-5%; 4. The GAP for Xcadey is bigger, around 1-6%, except for two days 24-25.12, were I noticed some serious issues for all devices, the readings on all devices were strange, 5. The watts recorded and presented by Xcadey are always higher, around 5-10w from Elite Justo; 6. The maximum watts are much lower on Elite Justo and certainly not accurate; 7. Based on the workout assumptions, Elite Justo was in a lower or middle range of watts required, Favero Assioma was always below, Xcadey always met the requirements, 8. Favero and Xcadey L/R balance are very similar, the differences are very low; 9. I have different FTP based on the results obtained from all devices, between 352, 357 and 362w; 10. I charged Favero and Xcadey 16.12.2025 and today so 14.01.2026 the batter level is 10% (Xcadey). During that period, I rode more than 50h. However, the readings are not representative as my son (1.5 years) loves to spin the pedals, and the Xcadey was very often activated, even when Favero was not installed, 11. On the 12th of January I decided to swap pedals, and I installed Favero on my second bike. For me the results of Justo and Xcadey are reliable and enough. I just adjusted my FTP for the readings from Justo and Xcadey. Riding for around 4.5 years with a power meter I still don’t know which is the most accurate one from those three, however I have one conclusion from my side. If you use power meter, perform all tests on it, that is crucial, and you should stick to it. If you change power meter, you always should perform a new FTP test on it. Even if it shows some lower or higher watts, you will have the proper and valid readings. I didn’t notice any unusual results so one showed 400w and another 600 w, except sprints, for sure that is the biggest flaws of a smart trainer due to their build and way of working. I also noticed that the feeling of 200w outside is a bit different than inside using all three devices. After all rides and tests, I would say that the watts are in the middle. I will repeat it when the weather will be more convenient in Poland. Lastly, my Favero Assioma now has some issues with the body, I changed the bearings but now I felt some play, again. Onirii TT One saddle
Hey all--I noticed there wasn't a topic for this saddle yet, and I fully understand why. It is One of the most expensive AliX saddles. That said, after owning one for about 6 months, I figured it's time to share some thoughts because it's a brilliant saddle. As far as I know, it is a unique design: it isn't available from other sellers (I have looked), wholesalers, or any copy of an existing saddle. The product page is here: https://www.oniriibike.com/products/2025-new-onirii-triathlon-tt-3d-printed-saddle-one-tt-road-time-trial-cycling-sea-carbon-fiber-ultralight-t-for-triathlon-bike For the sake of this short review post, I am going to compare it to three similar short saddles that I have: the Specialized SWorks Power Mimic (not 3d printed), the Fizik Vento Argo Adaptive R1, and the Syncros Belcara TT. I have other saddles, including some unpadded ones, but these are probably similar to what folks looking for a short saddle they can slam forward to get into a TT position on a road bike are looking for. The shell of this saddle is really hard, and the padding is extremely stiff. The 3D-printed padding is much firmer than that of any other saddle. The texture of the 3d printing provides a medium grip. It's about as grippy as the Fizik but less than the Syncros. Setting up the saddle, i expected it to be a bad experience. Luckily for me, the shape of this saddle really works for me. The saddle itself is flat and wide, going out to 132 mm. It's also extremely short: while it is 240mm long, the extended carbon "tail" means that it's really closer to 220mm saddle. Sort of similar to the actual seating area on a Selle SMP Well the saddle's usable sitting area ends at a taper of around 55mm. Unlike the SMP, Fizik, and Syncros saddles mentioned, it's much flatter, more like the power. However, it more or less lacks the nose of that saddle, so if you liked the Power but battled numbness even with the softer-nosed mimic, this saddle could be for you. I previously also preferred the channel approach of the Fizik Antares Vs. Evo Adaptive saddle, which this saddle also offers, creating another respite for those of us who worry about numbness on long rides. It is also worth noting that while this saddle has very long rails the actual area indicated for clamping seems to only allow you to move forward 5-8mm vs. other short saddles. So it's something, but not as much as you might think looking at a profile of the saddle. Of course, you can always try to use that extra rail. I probably will. I would love to see a V2 of this saddle with slightly softer padding and extending the clamping area enough to fully jam the saddle forward. That said, this current version is going on my gravel race rig 2026. In my opinion, if you are looking for a short saddle for a forward position and can get this one for a reasonable price, it might be worth a try. Frame received a few weeks ago. Built with Dura Ace and Campagnolo Bora Ultra 60 wheelset for a total weight of 7,12 kg. The bike is insanely fast (coming from a 2009 Cube and a 2014 sub-6 kg Focus Izalco Max 0.0). Stack is indeed very low, I almost wanted to ask for more spacers but ended up with just the standard 6x5mm spacers. It's an aero bike after all and that would have been not really nice aesthetically. I actually feel very good on the bike now, quite comfortable. I had some issues with some screws and engaging the thread in the nuts (used a tap to clean the threads). Another issue is that I have to apply a lot of torque on the headset to remove any play (there is enough space between expander and top plate and bearings are not compressed at all). I'm guessing it's because there is a lot of friction between the fork and stem. Headset fine tuning was not easy, but maybe I'm just bad. Really happy with the frame regardless. Okay, so my build is finished. Just quick update from my perspective. I build the bike myself, like the others and previous Avenger Shuttle SL. I'm having Tagoola Pulse 50UL and 1x12 SRAM AXS with Force shifters and the rest is RED. As I will probably use XMCS crank, I bought the tripeak 3 in 1 BB. In general, i had no issues with cables, or with BB or screws, or honestly with any element of the frameset. Assembling was pretty easy and fast, I did all based on the R8-RS user manual. Only one elements is missing in the user manual, the screws and elements that holds the upper bearing or I haven't seen it. The routing with the Y bar was a pleasure and there is only one way of going thru. Those two pieces are very easy to connect. Top cap is pretty funny and with unusual shape. I'm wondering if 4 Nm and enough for handlebar and fixing screws. I will check and verify that on the ride today. I didn't encountered any issue with the headset play. I used 4 Nm for the top cap as adviced. No information what should be the tightening power for the handlebar and stem. Seatpost and clamp the same, no issue, Nm as in the manual. I didn't cut the seatpost. For the axles a used 10 Nm at the moment. I used 4 cm of spacers so 8 of them, not looks very bad, of course without any of them is the best. However, as I mentioned previously, after calculation I have the same level as on my shuttle. For me the comfort is the most important, I will survive how it looks. I will prepare some reel and post on my instagram of course. For now the weight is less than 7 kg in size 58, with pedals, bottle cages, garmin and varia mount. August 18, 2026, 05:57:50 AM |
