Re: Quick Pro ER:One The winningest and most celebrated GC world tour riders aren't exactly giants. That said, aero frames in smaller sizes always turn me off visually. Of course you can't control this. And for all we know you can/will probably drop me on any sustained climb. Flats too  ;D

Perhaps it's the proportions in relation to the wheels. Or the cockpit. Who knows...

Congrats on the build! Happy to hear the ride quality is very smooth. Currently my Scott Foil RC Pro has set a new gold standard for how I want/expect aero frames to perform dynamically. But I'm hoping the ER:One can come very close without the $5500 pricet ag.

The Tavelo Arow rides similar to the Giant Propel.
The TanTan X68 rides (kind of) like a Tarmac SL8.
Maybe the ER:One will follow suit.

Some quick(pro) thoughts about the bike after doing a 1-hour Z2 ride, on a particularly windy day:

  • The handling is much more stable in the crosswind.
  • No toe overlap.
  • Steering is more predictable. I can lean into corners and not have to worry about making micro-adjustments from over-steering.
  • Ride quality was very smooth. I don't think this can be accounted for by tire pressure, but here's what I'm riding for context:
    • I'm pretty light (63 kg) so I run my tire pressure @ ~50 PSI on 30mm GP5000s.
    • This is the exact setup swapped from my previous bike.
I wasn't able to give it some beans on a sprint, but on the few overpasses that I had to ride up, it was very responsive. This weekend i'll be doing a longer ride with actual climbing, so I'll have more to report as I take it up some mountains and down some descents.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe The white frame decals probably aren't desired for most folks in here. But I understand it from VeloBuild's marketing perspective for sending me a frameset for review. Perhaps a different font in the future. I think the decals will look totally fine with some matching white decal wheels. A billboard on wheels I am.

Size 52/Medium - Basically the equivalent stack/reach of a size 56 in most Western brands, if you factor in 20mm of spacers for the recessed headtube. I've been running my bikes slammed for the time being anyway.

VeloBuild provided TWO 3D printed headset covers: One is for VB's in house stem, and the other for using an FSA/ACR standard cockpit. A really nice touch. VeloBuild also created a 3D printed Shimano Di2 battery holder since the battery itself wont fit inside the actual seatpost. Go figure. I've seen these sorts of detail and hardware only on Western bikes.

I'm pretty excited to get this thing built up. We are quickly running out of outdoor weather here in Chicago. Most likely I will pump and dump my TanTan X68 for the groupset and components. This 368 is more intriguing anyway. My affection toward budget Chinese frames is like when I used to date back in my 20s. That pretty girl with daddy issues is probably a waste of my time and effort. But...you never know until ya ride it.  8)

Thanks for the report. I'm looking at ordering one, it wasn't available when I built my bike up in Spring so went with T1550 Gen 2, I do really like it but wanted the ER ONE at the time.

I'm 169cm and have the Medium Windspace, looking on geometry geeks the medium is a closer match.
How did you end up with the S and what stem length do you have then? I like a pretty aggressive position for crit and roadbike TT. Have a 140mm stem on the windspace.
Do you wish it was a medium at all or is the size correct?
