Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel I just got a message from Mondince that my frame is now shipped. 12 days from ordering, not bad! Now it'll probably take a couple of weeks for it to arrive here to Finland.

I ordered on November 10, 2025, so shipping to Poland took less than 4 weeks.



EDIT:
After a closer look, I must unfortunately say that the quality control is very poor.
I can’t assemble seatpost wedge. It doesn’t fit because there is a large lump of resin where wedge should enter.

Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel I've finally finished the build (I still need to see how many spacers to use below the stem and do the final cut of the steerer):

SPcycle G026 green chameleon with the following components:
- Schwalbe G-One R and RX Pro (rear/front) 50 mm on 25 mm wheels. There is about 5-6 mm clearance on the chainstays (5 mm hex wrench clears it, 6 mm hex wrench rubs a bit).
- GRX 2x11 groupset, with RX812 rear derailleur + XT M8000 SGS cage mod to have a massive gear range: 48-31 and 11-46.

I've only ridden it in asphalt so far, but very pleased with it!

Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel My bike came yesterday and I finished around 90% of the build.
Along with the frame I ordered a pair of 9velo gravel wheels which showed up today.
Front wheel is ready, but I am waiting on another 50mm RX-PRO for the rear - which is fine, since the weather is pretty bad and I cannot ride anyway.

Build went smooth, even the rear break cable got through on the first attempt without any issues. I added some cable padding to prevent any cluttering, but that's it.
I made a mistake on the front break adapter and mounted it for the wrong diameter - not realizing that you could run 180mm. Lucky as I am, I had enough cable to pull it down and mount it for 160mm :-)

The stock seat post was way too short to reach my saddle height, but I simply re-used the seat post from my old bike.
I opted against integrated handlebars until I can figure out my reach and stack dimensions, but for me it looks nice enough as it is.

In case you need to order SRAM brake parts:
For the rear you need 32mm flatmount screws (SRAM part: 00.5318.005.002) and the standard flatmount adapter for 160mm (it should be part 00.5318.018.001 - but I had that already here)

Front: use the Flat Mount 0F/20F | 140/160 mm (part number: 00.5318.018.000) for the front - it includes all bolts.
For 160mm discs, you need to build it with the 140mm side because that give you the effective range for 160mm. That's because the fork can take up to 180mm rotors.
If you want to actually run 180mm rotors, you need to switch the adapter to 160mm.

Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel I guess the question is what you accept as clearance in regards to potential mud and water coming in. I think this is fine but can understand that people want to have their headset closer to the frame. After all, a you could use the stock bearing with a 3rd party headset.
I made some pictures with zoom, so it might look like a large gap when in reality it is nearly not noticeable.

I’m amazed you could use the PRO headset, I was also looking for that one ore the ones from Ritchey and Token, but all use the standard IS52 depth for top bearing of 8.7mm, and this frame has like 7mm (WTF!), so I expected to have a large gap on the top cover.
How did you fix it? or does your bike has the proper 8.7mm?

Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel After a first attempt with some hiccups, I consider today's ride my first test ride with the bike.
I have changed a few things:
- reduced the stem to 70mm, just like the Mondraker Arid would have in M/L
- maxed out saddle setback, I might even consider switching to a seat post with setback again
- lowered the saddle height

This makes for a very compact, comfortable position. I might even remove the 5mm spacer on the stem.

The high seat post, wide 9velo wheels and 50mm Rx pro, make the ride is super smooth.
Cobblestones, gravel, whatever, you roll over it like nothing whereas before my teeth might have clattered.
I really enjoyed this ride and look forward to re ride my usual trails to experience how different it is.

Two notes:
I added a 52mm O ring over the headset seal and between the cap, fits perfectly and seals everything.

Water came in the storage unit during bike wash, I will try to find a solution and share it. Thanks for the headset up, I wiped it away before it drowned my utility bag

In my Mondince L frame I could notice that rear hub spacing was little larger. When axle is not tightened, the spacing is equal. When you start tightening, because the right chainstay has different flexibility than the left side, it shifts the wheel gap.
By adding the washer you minimize this effect when tightening. Of course washer can’t be very thick to avoid thread problem at UDH

That's why I tried to ask to measure the width of the rear.
144mm. Why?

Big thanks to my friend Carbonazza for letting me try his AF01 for a couple of days in the woods.

The ride left a real impression: incredibly reactive, giving that rare mix of speed with full control—precise when needed, yet very forgiving on rough ground. His setup with the LightBicycle WG55 wheels (32 mm internal, 45 mm tires) was a surprising upgrade compared to my beloved CFR505.

I had already seen the AF01 at Eurobike, but riding it in real conditions sealed the deal. That short test ride convinced me to place my order in the last week of December. Three weeks later, the first pictures arrived, and the frame is now on its way to Belgium.

Communication with Assisting Force (Carbonda) has been excellent throughout the whole process.

Can’t wait to get this frame built up and rolling.

PS: For those who prefer a clean look without the brand name, the builder is very flexible with frame‑sticker preferences.

Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel Has anyone tried cutting out the internal storage walls? The storage space is too small and collects water, so I’m thinking about getting rid of the walls, but I don’t really have any idea how to do it cleanly.
