I bought some plain black flat headed M5x12 that I somehow thought would be nylon ... but turned out to be stainless steel. Not very light, but being black and low profile made them blend in very nicely to the frame. Not even sure if I will bother to try to source nylon bolts again. Waynifa bolts are also a solid choice, but a bit overkill just for blinding off unused screw holes IMHO. December 05, 2025, 04:41:19 AM |

Hi, the lower gap on mine is actually quite large — I used the original headset set from Velobuild (see attachment). It seems you put the bearing upside down or just installed the fork crown (don't needed). December 10, 2025, 10:17:07 AM |

The expander plug must be two parted: The head cap should be mounted with a screw and underneath there's a hex socket to mount the expander body. March 04, 2026, 03:18:13 AM |
