I never got around to doing it, winter came fast. I'm currently considering just getting SPD power meter pedals instead, but we'll see.

Anyway, I don't have the answer but my take is this:

Chainring intended for 1x road should work.
The chainline will be affected, but to the better.
Problem is chainring clearance to the chainstay. If you're gonna be on 42T, probably not a problem. If you're planning to run 46-48T, probably a problem.
In any case, I'd buy some spacers for the spindle to have on hand, might be needed between the crank and BB regardless, but can also be used to adjust a little bit.

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201 On the bottom just the bearing, the fork has an integrated crown race. On the top only bearing, then plastic C ring and the top cover.
