ceccotti xc build
Finished up my budget ceccotti carbon hardtail, I think it turned out looking really nice, as for performance it hasn't been out yet so "to be determined" my biggest concern isnt the frame tbh its the bolany fork, but i took it all apart threadlocked the important stuff and put fresh oil in the air chamber with sram butter on everything else so fingers crossed, seems solid enough just basic. build is coming in just under 10kg, so not the lightest but not bad either considering the budget parts. Cable routing was easy enough during the build, only tricky part was routing the dropper cable around the bb shell and up the seattube. Frame - ceccotti carbon hardtail Fork - Bolany boost Wheels - parts bin wheel build, novatech 28h rear hub, superstar 32h front, sapim d light spokes all around, spank 350 28h rim (non vibrocore) rear, spank 350 32h rim (vibrocore) front Shifter/derailleur - shimano deore m6100 cassette - sram NX Chain - sram GX cranks - fonovo phantom cranks chainring - goodtaste gxp oil slick pedals - oneup composite BB - shimano xt Brakes - Meroca M4 4 pots Rotors - 160mm light weight AliExpress Bars - all in one AliExpress carbon grips - ODI foam saddle - alixpress super leggara clone dropper - zoom 27.2 dropper remote - ztto oil slick Frame protection - added bits of alixpress clear protection in parts, didnt turn out great but not terrible either. Tyres - barzo front, mezecal rear July 27, 2022, 08:23:19 AM |

Re: Spcycle Super Light 29er Hardtail MTB Frame M038
If I had 1 regret about buying my SP-M06 it's that it has integrated headset cablee routing, next winter I'm either YOLO drilling cable passthroughs in the side of the frame or buying a new frame to get rid of them...

Re: Hongfu FM358 build
I’m considering ordering the FM 358. What is the consensus on this? Is it reliable? Are there any parts that must be swapped out for longevity?

Re: My Meinier M09
Nice build, but The fake Ingrid and other fake components make it look like a fake Ferrari, wouldn’t be better to put simple shimano or sram components? We should never forget that behind these names like Ingrid or 5dev there are people and families, their sustainability depends on these small pieces of engineering It very well may, but when they price their products as much as a new bike, it puts those products out of reach for 90% of the cyclists out there. Also, I understand a little more about why you see these products offered and they seem exactly like their name brand versions. When you contract a Chinese firm to manufacture and build your product, there is a clause in most contracts that says if you are late on payments, your intellectual property rights are forfeited. I don’t think that’s the deal with the cranks at all, they look a little like 5dev but they are obviously not. The derailleur looks exactly like Ingrid and included documentation from Ingrid. I think it looks like a Walmart mountain bike, not a fake anything, people hardly know what derailleur is what. In fact, because of my hokey paint job I was thinking of putting Hyper or Huffy stickers on the down tube as a theft deterrent. July 13, 2026, 06:57:28 PM |

Re: Hongfu FM358 XC 120mm frame
Hi, what size is your frame? I'm curious if all sizes have this problem, because I don't see many complaints on other FM358 threads so I'm thinking that they may have only tested one size and just scaled the design for different sizes without actually testing.Hi, my frame size is M (17.5) Now I have another problem. When the rear suspension compresses, the brake rotor rubbing the pads. This also occurs when the bike leans into corners. I think it's a rear triangle stiffness issue. I contacted HongFu two months ago, and since then they've only asked for a photo of the brake mount on the frame. In this video i push down my chest on saddle two times August 28, 2026, 06:59:44 AM |

Re: 2026/27 full-suspension XC
it's sad to see XC on the falling side of bike market. I would at least like to have some models back to external cable routing as the main players are doing. e.g. the LCFS980 or 918, the FM358 of hongfu, please make those with external routing. make external-routing great again! Re: MF05 - Light Cycling Lightweight hardtail
"Full Internal Routing Supported · or External at the Handlebar via Lower Head-Tube Ports" That got me excited, but it might just be stock copywriting, like the picture for FD routing
