Re: Chinese carbon gravel frame for 29x2,2 or 29x2,4 tires
Good news! Guys from Seraph and Spcycle from AliExpress wrote me that they will develop a new gravel frame for 700x55 tires in 2026! 700x55 is the same as 29x2.1, so it will be a good option for those who want to ride gravel bike on 29x2.1 Schwalbe Thunder Burt tires. Hope those frames will have affordable prices

Re: Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel
I've finally finished the build (I still need to see how many spacers to use below the stem and do the final cut of the steerer): SPcycle G026 green chameleon with the following components: - Schwalbe G-One R and RX Pro (rear/front) 50 mm on 25 mm wheels. There is about 5-6 mm clearance on the chainstays (5 mm hex wrench clears it, 6 mm hex wrench rubs a bit). - GRX 2x11 groupset, with RX812 rear derailleur + XT M8000 SGS cage mod to have a massive gear range: 48-31 and 11-46. I've only ridden it in asphalt so far, but very pleased with it! January 14, 2026, 01:50:17 PM |

Re: Carbon gravel frame for 29x2,2 or 29x2,4 tires
As for Tavelo—that frame looks just like the new Wilier Rave. That one is rated for 52mm, but you can easily fit 2.2" tires in there. New Raccoon frame looks like Winspace G3 January 17, 2026, 02:33:15 AM |

The new Raccoon is finally out! https://www.instagram.com/p/DTz6do7CPWt/?igsh=MTU0dDE4MGE1ODJwNw== 53-55mm tires should fit no problem, apparently even 60mm is doable. Curious if it's a catalogue frame or something custom-made. January 22, 2026, 06:13:15 AM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
Is there a protector mounted underneath the bottom bracket? Yes sir! I installed that one myself. It’s one from Trek. Perfect fit. If interested in specifics, it is called “Trek 2021 Procaliber 29 Downtube Armor”. January 25, 2026, 08:02:39 AM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
My GR201 frame has also arrived, so the build can finally begin! I know this topic has been covered a million times, but I’d appreciate some help regarding the headset. I’m planning to use the stock Tantan integrated handlebar along with the provided headset. I’ve read that I should avoid the aluminum compression ring because it can cause the fork to wobble. However, I’d rather not spend €50 on an FSA or Deda headset since I’ve already paid for the Tantan one. Is it possible to just swap the compression ring for something else (like a plastic one) to keep the fork stable? If so, could you recommend one (perhaps something available on AliExpress)? Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
I used the deda dcr 45x45 nylon compression ring as I metioned some posts above. Works great. No rattling. The gap is about 2 mm. For me it is fine. You could also sand it down like 1mm then it is perfect.
