Re: LTK266-D-SL, race frame, 680g, <800g w/paint & metal parts (M), fits 35mm+ tires
Well, I've finally been able to take the bike for a spin. It's the Permeants 09, painted transparent red. I found it quite fast, but I'm coming from a steel frame. The riding position is comfortable, not too racing-oriented. February 28, 2026, 10:42:41 AM |

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero and Allround road frames
I would like to see positive angled stem handlebars as in the Ridley Noah Fast. A different approach than Cervelo, Factor or Colnago.

Re: VeloBuild VB-TT-023
Doneeee. Took longer than expected as I fiddled a lot with the cockpit. Very happy overall but the list of wanted/unnecessary updates is long 1 year Update! 1 year later and same location, with this bike and couldn't be happier. I did some upgrades around the chainring, toolbox and cockpit. Managed to do a 70.3 and actually win a smaller olympic triathlon last year. This year I'll go through a full distance triathlon with the bike. Only issue I had with the frame over the past year was, that water accumulated in it after a wet ride and there is no drain hole at the bottom bracket - I drilled one now hoping it will not crack ![]() March 05, 2026, 01:22:54 AM |

Re: LTK266-D-SL, race frame, 680g, <800g w/paint & metal parts (M), fits 35mm+ tires
Hey everyone, just wanted to drop some thoughts now that I’ve put 1,000km on the frame. First of all I want to say I'm really enjoying the bike. Coming from an alu gravel bike it feels super fast ! Climbing is much more easier, I feel like I can hold 35kph easy on a flat road whereas before it felt like I always had to push, now with this bike it feels like it's holding the speed much more. Bike is also very comfortable, did a little weekend trip with it and even after 140k I felt good. Only downside I found is that the paint is quite thin, the top tube bag rubbed a little on the top tube and there is some scratch marks. As far as mechanicals, the frame has been super reliable, no seatpost slippage, no disc rub, no weird creaking or anything. Just had an issue with the crankset but not related to the frame. Would 100% recommand the frame to anyone, as a first time builder, assembling process was easy, and there is no troubleshooting to do even after set up as it just works. March 23, 2026, 06:55:04 PM |

Re: Gas Cycle Nitrogen 6069 alloy budget road frameset
For those who have had the frame, is your building process smooth? I've seen people addressing cable routing hole and BB tolerance problems for their framesets on Chinese social media. Besides, this brand's customer service is nonexistent. Though for this price I wouldn't ask for too much as long as the frame itself is safe to ride. My BB was fine. I'm just using a regular threaded Ultegra BBR60 bottom bracket. My cranks spins smoothly. The cable routing through the chain stay is a bit convoluted, it exits out the down tube and underneath the chain stays. Routing my rear brake hose had to be done top/bottom. It's a pain to try and route it bottom/top (from chain stay thru down tube). I'm not sure if the new version fixed that problem. My head tube bearing cup were actually very snug and looked perfectly round. Having built several bikes, it was still fairly easy to assemble. Like I said, I had low expectations, but for the price it's a fun frame build. My goal was to build a poor man's Allez Sprint. Though with the new version, it's now a poor man's CAAD14! ![]() March 24, 2026, 03:14:28 PM |

Re: Vook - Anyone know about them?
If you had to choose between "VOOK", "Elves", or "Quick Pro" on the your frame's downtube...which one ya choosing?
