Re: GEOID CC700 / CC700 Pro cycling computers
Can I ask whats bad about the navigation?A couple of irritating things: if you import a route in FIT/GPX format it discards all of the POI's, so you lose your turn information along with cafe stops, audax/sportive check-points etc. It then generates its own turn directions, but these include lots of false turns - basically any 90 degree bend in the road - which are a distraction for when it pops up a real turn. Also there's a big lag whenever you page through your screens to the navigation page, which can cause you to swipe or hit the Page button again and skip past it. And once you're back on the map/navigation screen it takes a couple of seconds to redraw your position and route. It's fine if you just stay on the map page. One nice thing: It will automatically zoom in as you approach a turn. It's not terrible for the modest price, but by any other standard the overall experience is mediocre. I'm ok using it on roads that I'm familiar with, where I might just need an occasional reminder. I'm not so sure about using it on unfamillar roads and routes - there'll be some missed turns and stops to consult the phone. March 28, 2026, 11:16:06 AM |
