Re: chinese carbon saddles I received my Ryet Ultimate Carbon EVA yesterday - and I'm actually pretty shocked - while the build is nice - the saddle is an absolute disaster for me - as my seated position vs my old Fizik with both saddles slammed forward to the max is around 4cm further back. And on my Fizik old style - due to it being a long nose - I can sit like 6-7cm forward vs the Ryet on climbs.

What the heck is a short nose saddle supposed to be if you cannot move it properly forwards.
Those saddles are only usable for those that like to sit far far far back.

I wonder why this isn't really mentioned at all. Also on Aliexpress in the reviews I only found a single other person complaining about it.

Are there any chinese saddles that are similar to a Fizik Antares and allow slamming the saddle forward a lot? And yeah best without a channel. I get one much better on saddles without channel like an oldschool Antares.

Re: chinese carbon saddles All 3 are showing as available to ship to the UK. I actually own the cheapest one and currently have it on my gravel bike. I expected it to be crap but it's comfy and light, and hasn't broken yet.

Yes, the locked position for the lever is down. Pull up to release. It has a detent that the lever snaps in for the lock position. Also it has foam strips on the lower section of the lid to prevent vibration. I only have 50 miles on the bike since I finished the build Saturday and so far there are no rattles and nothing has come loose :)

It's pretty rock solid.  I have a 800 ml fidlock bottle on mine without any issue.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) The final update I will give on the v3 cover unless an issue arises. 60km ride and drove 45 minutes each way with the bike bouncing/shaking on the bike rack. The lock did not move and no rattle I noticed from the cover. I would call this fixed. 100% recommend getting the v3 door if you have issues with your current.

Just go ahead and take the HBR14. Simple, cheap, its proven to work...done that on my bike. No issues, if you can handle to good look ;-)

I now have somewhat over 100km on my bike. Standard cheapo BB is already making noises.... meh
I think i will go for the rotor BB and put some shims between my BB and the carbon frame to prevent the BB from eating my frame.


Edit: Saddle slipped again at 240km with 9-10Nm... it start beeing annoying at this point.
