This bike has race-bike geometry. The handling and body position are different. For a rider capable of using this bike's geometry, the aero difference is huge compared to something like the LCR018 and would easily overshadow any frame aero benefits (i.e., wouldn't surprise me if it were 10x). The outdoor aero testing I do is not a gold standard type of anything and it’s specific to me. However, the aero differences between bikes that you can notice IME come down to position. Being able to keep your front end narrow and stable, elbows tucked in is worth a lot of watts. Being able to get your back into the flattest position you can, likely worth a lot of watts. That said, I cant tell you that you will be able to make use of the potential difference between the LCR018-D and the LTK266-D-SL. Nobody but a bike fitter can do that. As someone who does take advantage of position differences (and the LTK is actually not aggressive enough for a pure road bike for me) the difference between my custom road bike and the LTK “test” bike is not that different than the difference between by custom road bike and an SL8 or a Dogma F12. Does that make the LTK fast? No, it means that the resolution of position and fit things like keeping my elbows tucked in drown out the impact of tube shapes. can you share your height and inner leg? I am 172 and inner leg 80cm and wonder 50 or 52 will fit better I also debated between size 50 and 52 and am glad I went with the 50. The standover height was a major factor given my shorter inseam. Height 170.2 cm Inseam 76.0 cm Bike config: Spacers under the handlebar - 40mm Seat tube trimmed - 38mm Crank arm length - 160mm Handlebar stem length - 90mm Seat post offset - 15 mm The fit feels very natural. I was expecting to have to play with things more, but the amount of tweaking to be done is minimal. I have an extra seat post with zero offset and also another handlebar with 100 mm stem. ![]() ![]() Final weight is 6,280kg as pictured (but without the Fly bottles) ![]() The build was straight forward. They only issue was the M5 bolt from the seatpost clamp, that I had to switch out with a 5mm shorter one. Fit is not final, need to get lower and a bit longer. There is some weight savings still to make. I liked the "Mixtape" paintjob that Specialized put on some Tarmac SL6 frames, so I wrapped the frameset with vinyl stripes. Not sure if i'll keep it that way, but thats the beauty of vinyl wrap. Did about 550km on it in the last 8 days. It basically rides like a TCR. It just gets the job done without any fuss. There is no buss, no noise at all from the bike, which is quite nice. For the ZEN wheels I'll write something down at the propper place.
