Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Now my bike is ready. No 390x90 handlebars before end of August. So picked a stock size. 400x80.
Else it would be 380x80 or 400x120. Handlebars are not produced with frames to match order it seems. They have from 5 to 45 in stock depending on size. Not a huge stock.

Got the British racing green and black logo. Wanted a logo but not too bright/screaming. Hope it will help resale value at some point.

One user sent photos of his bike to show shadow parts are dark. And here are the photos as I got them. Picked all British racing green and black logo.parts in shadow are great. Highlight is a bit bright/light green. But I guess Mads Pedersen just made that color popular yesterday in Paris.

Now I can order the other parts needed for the build. Missing just the Ultegra di2 groupset and the cable for updating handles.

Looking forward to the build.

Paid on 23 May 2026. Promised done on 23 July 2026.  So 2 months as indicated initially.

Update: got a tracking number from local postal service, within hours of choosing a handlebar in stock. Not yet from LC. But guess it was booked at DHL which pushed on the request. And dimensions. 101x55x21cm and 5.5kg

You acknowledge the issues but construct a narrative in which the known failures appear irrelevant. My concern is that I’ve seen more effort put into sidestepping this product’s failures than the company has put into resolving their root cause.

This post reads like a standard play used by so many companies promoting budget bike tech through guerrilla marketing. The giveaway? The “girlfriend” line. It’s always the girlfriend. Never the wife, never the sister, and almost always a woman. Why? Because, to support the narrative you’re spinning, she’ll put out less power, right? Therefore, the issues acknowledged by the manufacturer supposedly don’t apply.

Company employees or associates repeatedly use this tactic to plant comments while posing as ordinary users. It completely erodes trust in the brand and its marketing. It also makes forums like this less useful.

I could be completely wrong about this, but I’ve been online and active on enough forums for long enough to recognise the pattern.

Either way, it doesn’t change the underlying issue. The day the PP5 meets an acceptable standard, which simply means meeting its own published technical specifications - people won’t need to explain away its failures. And they won’t have to risk a breakup by buying known-crappy gifts for their “girlfriends.”

Re: Thinkrider PP5 power meter I think its fair to call out a product that doesn't meet its own advertised specifications, you don't have to be a hardcore or elite cyclist to agree with this and hold the manufacturer responsible. If they are lying about the accuracy then what else are they lying about ? Are the numbers flashing up on your screen an accurate representation of your power or are they just random numbers ? It seems to work for some while not for others, it's your own money, so only you can decide if it's worth it.

Re: Anyone got a hand painted frame they can share pics of? First photo is of my VeloBuild 168 - I painted it in my garage using Honda's Championship White...IYKYK. That isn't a decal on the downtube. It's reverse paint that lets the raw carbon peak through. The overall design I was mimicking the contemporary artist Joshua Vides. Cheap 3K clearcoat and clearcoat 3D sparkle paint off Amazon

2nd photo is of my Rinasclta (Air Wolf) all-road frame. Funny how 4 years ago this was one of the only affordable all road frames on the market. It was truly ahead of its time (38c clearance) and sadly I really under appreciated it. Now wide road tires is all the rage. Custom green/purple chameleon paint with a 3K clearcoat.

Painting a frame at home is a pain without a completely dust free and controlled temperature environment. Lots of prep work and sanding too. It's why I haven't done another in over 3 years. But I am considering giving it a go again this off season.
