I have a TT X1 that I purchased through the help of SissyPants. Ordering, delivery went smooth. 1st build... also smooth. I like the bike. It has helped me get several KOMs including one that I took from a TDF rider by 12s over 1/2 mile. I even got a climbing KOM (albeit a not very popular one) & I am a sprinter (at anywhere from 165 to 195lbs depending on time of year). It is fast. It's on ICAN 55m tubeless 25mm GP5000s. 105. I don't have a "real" bike to compare it to. I went form a Trek Hybrid to an entry level Giant a size too big, to this. My only complaints are 1 - Seat tube (didn't see that coming did you?) - Fix = Plastic Shim Stock .015" 2 - Not as stiff as I was hoping. I burned holes in the sidewalls of my 28mm GPs from hills & sprints. This also wore the paint away in the chain stays & even started cutting into the carbon itself... Hence the 25s now. Other than that I dig it. I am now looking to build an aero disk with SRAM AXS. I like the looks of Seraph & Sissy is cool to work with. I am not sure I am going this route though as this will likely be my last build & my "forever" bike (unless I get a Time Trial). I need it to be stiff. I was also interested in the WCB-R-268 when I saw pictures of the first few bikes, it looked like a great valueand high quality crit racing bike. Since then, they have changed the forks in the newer models and the geometry is looking more relaxed (see pics attached), look at the end of the forks and the head tube length. It is hard to know exactly what has changed because bikes look different depending on sizing. Maybe this is what the majority of customers want? I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Also, even if I do get the wrong size frame, the bike market in the UK right now is so crazy I will be able to sell the bike on for a small profit and use the money to finance the correct size frame.

Frame arrived today. Here is a quick picture. So far I am very impressed with the finishing quality. I have internally routed a few cables which was a lot easier than I thought. I am still waiting on parts to arrive. I will continue to update as I build.

Thanks for the input Alex. You have filled me with confidence! I got the steerer tube cut today and my local bike shop were impressed with the build quality. Here is a quick pic.

Hello. I just got an ICAN A9 the other day and assembled it. The accuracy of the frame was very good. I won't go into impressions as I haven't run much distance yet, but the flats are as fast as the Bullet Train. The routing took a lot of time, as did the FSA ACR. FYI. Finished the internal routing today. It was a bit of a pain but not as bad as I expected considering this is the first bike I have ever built. I think the toughest part was the handlebars but there is are great YouTube tutorials from both ICAN and "OzCycles". Number one tip I can give when routing the handlebars is to tape both the gear and brake cables together and pull them through the narrow hole at the same time. Pictures of the finished routing have been attached. Please don't judge the messy room as it has been a long night

Just inserted the bottom bracket. Decided to go with a zitto ceramic thread lock BB. This avoids the hassle of bearing presses as threading the BB together presses the cups into the frame. I must say it went very smoothly. Only thing I am left wondering is what the torque level should be... I have attached some greasy pictures of the BB

Cables are not fully integrated on this frame, so the headset is not exactly this one but the same from FSA with a circular standard top part. It should arrive with one. For the rest I will install fizik cyrano R1 periph, and Light Bycicle wheels with dt240exp hubs. October 11, 2020, 08:36:23 AM |

Cables are not fully integrated on this frame, so the headset is not exactly this one but the same from FSA with a circular standard top part. It should arrive with one. Please take as many picture as you can of the integration between the handlebar-stem-frame, the cabling etc.
