Re: ICAN triaero A9 I tried several times but he somehow dodged my questions  ;D

I found a video on Amazon clearly showing a hole in the steerer tube: https://www.amazon.com/ICAN-Triaero-Carbon-Frameset-Mount/dp/B086BX7JCN

I guess I will see soon :)

Re: ICAN triaero A9 I've struggled to get a confirmation from him regarding if there's an extra hole in the steerer tube and if the frameset has been sent. He said the frame would be sent out yesterday, but I haven't received any tracking number or confirmation. Maybe he's grown tired of all my questions and e-mails. :D

Re: Spcycle New Mold G068 Carbon Gravel Frame The lack of in-frame storage and the choice of an adventure style fork with a bunch of bolt holes are both big turnoffs.

The hunt continues.....

Which frames are similar to Lauf Seigla? Hello, I'm looking to build a gravel bike and I've checked out several options,

but my favorite is the Seigla from Lauf, unfortunately  Lauf doesn't plan to sell their framesets to EU, so I'd like to get a frame recommendation from you guys.

Here's what I'm looking for.

1. the geometry should be similar to the road.
2. I want the tire clearance to allow 29x2.20.
(Best option would be to run 2.20 tires and have mudguards)

p.s Option 1 is not required, but the tire clearance must be a frame that allows 29x2.20.

Best regards

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
Someone already tried to fit in 29.2.25 tires? i think that would be a really fast and robust setup for racing.
Could someone try to fit it in en show how it runs then?

I'll take measurements later but I think it will fit a 2.2 no problem.

Pictures in the first post here show measurements of the clearance.  Smallest is 66mm.  With reasonable clearance (6mm a side?) something like 2.1" should fit comfortably.  2.2" may be stretching it a bit.  It would be good to see what you get in your measurements, though.

BTW, those wheels are awesome.  Oh, and where did you get those bungs?

Re: Gravel Frame with 2.1 or more tire clearance

Here's mine with 29er/700c 2.1"/51mm Thunder Burts

Looks really good! Do you have a standard 105 di2 road derailleur? How is the clearance with those tires?

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201 It will take a 55mm measured for sure. Whether you seem it acceptable would depend on conditions

Re: Frame advice - hardtail with a 40T (or more) chainring I was wondering which frame you have choosen. The Seraph/TanTan FM199?

Do you know what the max size front chanring will fit on this frame?

Hi!

First of all, thanks for letting me join this forum. I've already trawled through a few of the threads here, and wow what a massive treasure chest of information.

I am looking for a XL sized hardtail frame (not gravel, just a regular hardtail) with the ability to fit a rather large chainring (40T or ideally 44T). So far I've eyed the following:

My findings/opinions about these frame so far:

Spcycle SP-M028
Unknown chainring capacity (question sent to seller), nice design, good geometry

Airwolf YF-M026
Max chainring 44T according to seller (after asking), bulky design, good geometry

Spcycle SP-M030
Max chainring 36T according to listing, ok design, good geometry. Might be able to fit a 40T with more offset on the chainring?

Flyxii FR-701
Unknown chainring capacity (question sent to seller), quirky design, good geometry. I guess 40T shouldn't be a problem, but with a large cassette there might be some limitations. Not a fan of the design though.

Ceccotti MF-05
46T chainring capacity according to seller, nice sleek design, somewhat cramped geometry compared to the other frames.

Seraph/TanTan FM199
According to various posts here this frame should take a 42t or possibly 44t chainring. Nice design, nice geometry. I think this might be the one.

Are there any other alternatives that you know of that I should consider looking at? It doesn't really matter if it's boost or not as long as it's a big frame (21"/XL) and can fit a 40T (or larger) chainring.
