... it does look like a rim/campy would be easier for me to build as a first bike & maintain... The learning curve is steeper for disc brakes. But after sone misses and youtube vids, you'll know how it works. Never had any of the issues you listed on many frames. The most annoying though is misaligned brake mounts. So common that I finally bought the tool to face them. For the car metaphor. For road bikes, since I descend often at 80-90km/h when possible, I psychologically preferred to rely on branded frames. I did ride for few years a Canyon Ultimate CF-SLX, fine. When a tube cracked just before a big Alpine event, I converted my Carbonda CFR-505 to a road bike, it did ride as fine. Then got back the Canyon finally replaced, and didn't notice any significant difference. I moved to an Aethos S-Works now, and... it is fine too. Again not a revolution either, except maybe the number of people telling me how nice my bike is  Each time however they were equipped with hi-end electronic shifting and hydro disc brakes and very good wheels and tires. Most of us will be happy with the bike they build from a reputable seller here. And for me the equipment and wheels/tires is what makes the bike. I'm not convinced the frame is that important. Hello, I purchased a LCR017 in June and received it a few months later, paid 712$, a bit less than you because I didn’t ask any customization. Did you request any "z tier" when ordering your frame? Upon inspecting my frame, I discovered significant voids in the upper seat tube area. I reached out to my sales contact, Carol, regarding this issue but have not received a response yet (WhatsApp and email). I also used the contact form on the Lightcarbon website to inquire about my frame situation. Just to clarify, I am not seeking for clicks on my YouTube channel, as someone suggested in response to one of my comments on Hambini's video about the same frame model. My gf is very happy with hers, bought like 1.5yrs ago and ridden around 15.000 by now. She is doing ultra races and every day riding. She prefers the frame over the Canyon Endurace she had before. I ordered a frameset for myself, its in the making right now. November 21, 2024, 08:26:07 AM |

My 1136 got delivered a week ago and I just had it built up! Size medium, I had the frame painted through Carbonda. The paint job came out incredible. The "black" is UD Glossy Carbon, the exposed carbon layup looks awesome and really shimmers in the sun. The white is "pearl white" and has a nice glitter effect to it. Weight came in at 7.7 kg w/o pedals. Really happy with it so far. I used the carbonda supplied bar/stem and Carbonda headset. My only issue atm seems to be the gap between the steerer and the bottom of the headtube? Did others experience this large of a gap, did my mechanic do something wrong? Any real competitors to Carbonda CFR-505 SL?
I'm looking to buy an endurance-style frame for everyday riding, capable of running 32–35 mm tires on wide rims. I'm tall, and my body proportions require a very short reach combined with a relatively high stack, so most bikes I ride end up with a lot of spacers and a fairly upright position. My current bike suffers from speed wobbles on descents, and despite multiple attempts by mechanics, the issue couldn't be resolved—so I'm looking for an upgrade. Among many options, the Carbonda CFR-505 SL stands out as a near-perfect package (classic seatpost, UDH, T47). I also considered the HongFu FM238, but the press-fit BB and limited 32 mm tire clearance are drawbacks. I'm leaning toward giving the Carbonda a shot.
