Re: LTWOO eGR
I have both ER9 and EGR in the cart. I like how EGR looks compared to ER9. Was planning to install it on VB GF002 which currently has Ultegra 8050 on it but then I realized I use that bike as endurance bike with 35c wheels and very light gravel thrown in where the current 11-34 cassette coupled to 46/36 chainrings work fine. May be I should just get the ER9 and also save a couple of bucks in the process.

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
Just finished my first ever build! I had some issues with a few little things but overall I am really happy with it. The rear brake needs to be adjusted and my handlebars aren't wrapped yet Edit: I have attached a table with prices and weight if anyone is interested November 17, 2024, 07:43:49 AM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
You can run eTap road 2x with 40c (41.5mm measured at the rim). For sure on dry roads. Can probably fit 42-44 on Shimano 2x. I really don't need anything wider than 38/40s within a 4 hour drive. The gravel around here is packed and tamed. You only think You don't need wider. Once you try something like 45 you'll never got back to 40. I guarantee I can personally recommend TuFO thundero January 02, 2025, 10:17:00 AM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
I've painted quite a few. Mainly for myself, but also some frames and helmets for friends and family. Check out my Instagram link down there ⌄⌄ for some photos if you're interested. Frame is frame lol. They're all the same thing when it comes to painting, even material choice doesn't make much of a difference if you take the time to prep. It's not difficult, just very time consuming. I ordered mine raw and it really cuts down on prep time. There's tons of great stuff on YouTube detailing frame prep and paint techniques from people who are much better than me. If you've never painted before, buy some speed shapes or some kind of round tubes and practice first to get the technique down. Here's a couple quick shots. January 14, 2025, 03:48:51 PM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
For a bike that screams „racing“ the spacer stack is waaayyy to high imho. Other than that, nice bike :-) Mission accomplished then :-) I wanted to scream racing - but its not for any actual racing. Its my first ever build, I only started cycling a few years ago and its transformed my life - mental and physical health. I wanted to pay a little tribute to the things that have contributed to that journey over the last few years and for me thats Wattbike, Zwift, Joining the Atom Racing Team on Zwift and racing in my fav racing series - FRR. All that has lead to some epic IRL rides in the last 2 years doing things I'd never thought possible on a bike. This bike is my tribute to all those contributing factors. June 21, 2025, 06:35:47 PM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
TanTan GR201 (size 54) — White “stormtrooper” build Inspired by the other GR201 builds, I also went with a white gloss paintjob for the stormtrooper look. Cost is ~€3.5k and the bike should land around 8.2 kg with pedals, cages, and sealant (haven’t weighed the complete bike yet — my scale is borrowed). Rider / fit 178 cm / 70 kg. Size 54 fits me very well with a 100 mm stem and 80 mm handlebar reach; I might try a slightly shorter stem for snappier handling. Spec highlights (Full build in PDF) • Frameset: GR201 size 54 — frame 1,272 g; fork 392 g; axles 66 g; headset 128 g. • Cockpit: Lexon UNOX 400×100 integrated bar/stem — 344 g (needed a few spare spacers to mate nicely with the headset). • Seatpost: Elita One MT05 — 141 g. • Crankset Leese C01 160 mm cranks (373 g) + PassQuest 44T (105 g); • Drivetrain: AXS mix — Apex HRD levers (477 g), Rival HRD calipers (190 g), Red XPLR RD (378 g), Red chain (247 g), XG-1391 cassette (287 g). • Wheelset: Elitewheels Edge Gravel 2.0 — 1,284 g. • Tires (tubeless): Conti Race King 2.2 front (606 g), Schwalbe Thunder Burt 2.1 rear (571 g), Orange Seal. • Pedals: Favero Assioma Pro MX-2 — 384 g. • Hardware: Most mounting hardware has been replaced with Ti Bolts, Aluminum Adapters and Aluminum Bolts Ordering & frame details • Inquiry: Jul 4 → Order: Jul 7 → Photos + tracking: Jul 28 → Delivery (Germany): Aug 7 • Finish: White gloss (YS701). Fork supplied without side 3-bolt mounts (on request). • Included: headset + both thru-axles. • Paid via PayPal F&F. Final price from TanTan incl. shipping/taxes: USD 729. • Notes on quality out of the box: paint is OK but not boutique; some overspray on flat-mounts; mounts a bit flaky. BB shell was clean. Quick notes after the build • Coming from a 2020 Diverge X1 (40 mm clearance with 40 mm Thundero tires), this is a big step up for comfort, grip, and tire volume. • 160 mm cranks are great — I won’t go back to 170+ mm. • The new SRAM Red 1×13 (10–46) shifts nicely, but I’ll probably revert to a 10–50 Eagle for better climbing range. (I wish there was a 1x13 10-52 option yet) • There’s ample room for a larger ring — 48T, possibly even 50T, though 44 is good enough for most gravel descents where I live. • Paint finish is so-so; bolt mounts a bit flaky. Flat-mount faces were oversprayed and not very flat; still working on rotor alignment and may need more careful sanding. • The Lexon cockpit feels good; took a bit of tinkering and extra spacer/adapter to get the interface right. Conclusion At ~€3.5k this is incredible value: essentially best-in-class drivetrain, ultralight wheels, Favero power meter pedals, and clearance for proper wide tires — all wrapped up in a sub-8.2 kg package. The only real complaints are that the frame itself is on the heavier side compared to the rest of the build, and the integrated storage feels a bit unnecessary to me. August 17, 2025, 11:15:32 AM |

Re: LightCarbon Gravel LCG074-D Micro Suspension Pivot Design
Alright. Yesterday I ordered one. Lightcarbon LCG074S-D I opted for stem only and not integrated handlebars since I do bikepacking and I want that round tube nest to the stem, to fit aerobars and other stuff for the bikepacking. I chose Two custom colors, and the SP02 25mm setback seatpost to get a slightly more relaxed position. Plan is to use this one for "Nordic Chase" which is a 800 km gravel race between Copenhagen (capital of Denmark) and Oslo (capital of Norway) passing through Sweden (my country) I have a ToSeek carbon gravel handlebar and a Shimano GRX 1x12 setup (40T front, 10-51 back) waiting in my garage. As we speak there is a wheelset built in the Tagoola factory (50mm deep, 32 internal width) that I hope will be awesome. The two images are a Lightcarbon picture with a setup similar to mine, and the very design sheet showing my color choice. October 11, 2025, 06:25:54 AM |
