Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201 So after - what felt like an ETERNITY - I finally got to finish my GV201 build last weekend as well. The first iteration, I discussed with all vendors in October last year but ultimately, the design I had in mind was too complex for them to deliver. Put it on hold after 6 weeks of back and forth. Picked it up again late March this year with a new design concept. Talked to tideacebikes, tantan, and LTbikes. Good experience with all 3 of them. Eventually went with LTbikes. Frame was delivered 2 weeks ago. Already have over 300km on it just from this week - love the bike!

I must admit, given the complexity of the paint job, I wasn't too sure how good it'll be (design execution as well as quality of the paint itself). But I think they absolutely nailed it! Probably not a design "for everyone" but I totally dig the colors and patterns.

Went with 2x because I want it to be a race-gravel bike. Tire clearance on the Thunder Burts is, ehem, "existing". Been on 4 dry rides so far where it seems fine. For wet I might need to swap the rear tire for something a bit narrower.

They gave me the run around. Claiming it happened during shipping which is obvious bs. Ended up having it repaired. Cost me about $200, was given a good price by a guy that was interested in the frame and my build, having only worked on high end stuff. Seraph (TanTan, whatever) offered me $60 as their part. I've ordered lots of stuff from China but this was a let down customer service wise.. I get that their margins are very small but still, I payed for a non damaged frame (and shipping twice) so you assume they'd deliver. You live and learn I guess.

In the final stages of building it up now. Will post photos and a review (of the process) next week.
