Re: Hardtail frames supporting large chainrings
Lexon Scale goes up to 40T and has front derailleur mount if required. Geometry suitable for monster gravel.

Re: Max tire width FM936 & FM909
From drawings 909 has bit more clearance than 936. When I get my 909s I can check it thoroughly.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Excellent Service! I've been riding my L standard frame for two and a half year pretty hard and some weeks ago it feel different. It felt like something was loose in the backend. After inspection I found a crack in the chain stay on the right side at the smallest part near the attached chrome part (Chain ring protection) Contacted Wing at Carbonda and got an reply in a day. Carbonda sent a new triangle for free after some discussions and that was not what I've expected from them! Makes me convinced that they are a serious company with great customer care in focus. Re: Assisting Force AF01
![]() ![]() The build is done and I took it out for its first shakedown ride. Somehow I nailed the fit just by vaguely replicating the dimensions I measured from my G068, so I didn't even have to stop and adjust anything, and 7 Nm on the seatpost clamp is plenty. I don't really have much to say about the build process. Everything was completely fine (except dealing with the hassle of a dropper with internal routing, seriously, don't do it), all the surfaces were faced and all the threads were clean, hoses popped out where they should, it was great. I do have a few notes about the frame, though:
Overall, it seems like I got what I wanted: nearly the exact same geometry and handling of my G068 but with superior manufacturing quality and a few additional features. And the fork doesn't creak!!! I only wish the seattube was a bit longer so I could've kept my OneUp dropper, PNW is not the same quality. Oh well, can't have everything... January 04, 2026, 09:29:36 PM |
