Re: Looking for high quality Chinese road frame for riding long hours on sh!t roads I've just built up a XMCS gran turismo frameset that I picked up second hand from Hambini and I'm impressed. It built up really easily and from a quick 50km ride this morning it feels really smooth and comfortable compared to my Light Carbon LCR017, which in turn was an improvement on my old Ribble. I did the Fred on the LCR017 and friends at the end were surprised how relaxed and un knackered I was.

Have an 11 speed yoeleo r11 with grx 801 2x 48/31, will be changing frames and want to run similar ratios but with a carbon crank. Is there a spider/chainring combination that would allow running the gravel style sub compact cranks on a elilee /cybrei/incolour crank arms on a road bike? I know rotor do a carbon gravel style crank, along with a couple of other brands but they are pretty ugly,

Cheers

Praxis makes chainrings that are 48/32 and you need a 5x100 spider to make them work. The issue is that they need ones with little tabs cut out which I dont think any of these companies supplies. Bingham built makes one that works (Easton to Praxis 48/32) but it’s a bit on the pricy side. I think Power2Max also makes GRX chainring compatible power meter spiders for Easton cranks that should work.

I'm in the UK so need to see if they are available here. Then how do they attach to a carbon crank? I presume there will be a spider that will allow for it.

It uses a special clamping setup, but it's compatible with 110bcd road cranksets. You can use a 4 bolt adapter or 4 bolt power meter spider to attach them.
