Re: Looking for an aluminium Gravelframe
A few stores have the seaboard with free shipping. $302 shipped is not a bad deal. That's the cheapest I've seen, but that store only has a 92% rating. Not sure how much of a risk ordering from them would be. October 05, 2023, 01:00:03 AM |

Re: My TanTan TT912 build
my thin spacers arrived on Friday. the original 2x 0.3mm wasnt enough, so i tried 1mm. it seemed to do the trick. i also solved my bta cage rubbing the arm cup by using 7mm washers to raise the bottle cage. Also changed the saddle again, this time using shortnose Racework(bontrager aeolus). Nose shorter n lil wider than the Giant Approach. today for the 1st time this year i went to the coastal road(theres 8km stretch) to test the speed. the bike is so stiff, but crazy fast. i could ave 39kmh solo 16km loop without hitting max hr. my cycling fitness is subpar coming after fasting month, but i beat my TCR pb by a whole minute. with this my bike is funtionally complete n ready for race. yey just to share, i managed to get my SS RD to work with 11-34 casette by having that chain long. its for just in case i need climbing gear on some race course. for now im mostly on 15-17cog on 11-28 April 28, 2024, 09:49:53 AM |

Re: My TanTan TT912 build
i am in contact with the manufacturer but they seem not to be willing to include some threads for bento and or rear boxes....this is really a shame, as we would like to use this as a base frame to work with for our rockairlabs btas, risers we sell for canyon tts... im not really sure the history of this tt912/tt915 open mould frame and its manufacturer. tt912 has been out for so long since rim brake ver, and later got revised for disc brakes, udh hanger n 32mm clearance. it seems to me like TanTan and mira-factory might be 2 different factory? this yr tantan released tt913, while mira(with brand Falco) released 918. Re: Winowsports TT-119 - New Disc Time Trial Frameset
I recently ordered one of these frames. I've just had confirmation the paint job is done so it should be sent out shortly! I'll report back once I get it to see if I have any of the same issues as the others in this thread. For the bike setup I've mostly gone with Shimano 105 mechanical with Onirii BR-05 brakes. Once it's built I'll throw out a list of parts and the total price. September 11, 2024, 07:17:10 AM |

Re: 1 x 12 Sram TT Setup
I've gone down this route for my VB TT-23 build (not built just yet). Gone with: SRAM Force Rear Mech (36tooth max) 11-34 Shimano Cassette Dura Ace Crankset w/ 56t Pass Quest 1x Chainring RideRever Trivia Hydraulic TT Brakes 2 sets of 2 AXS Wireless Blips (1 set on Bar Ends and 1 on the Brake Levers) Most of the TTing and Tri's I do are flat-ish or enough to get by on a 1x chainring. When I need to I will simple buy a SRAM Red FD and double chainring. Went for the Dura Ace Crankset because its quite light. Hoping its all compatible... September 12, 2024, 01:55:54 AM |

Re: Any thoughts on probability of 20% USA tariffs on purchases next year?
Can you help explaining the raise? If you bought a product for $80 today and it arrived after May 2nd but before June 1st, you would pay an additional $72 (90%) or $75 (Flat Rate). It is not clear how they will determine between using the 90% or flat $75 rate. If the product arrives after June 1st, you will pay the additional $150 flat rate. So that $80 product in total would cost: May 2nd - June 1st: $152 - $155 After June 1st: $230 And those figures are probably low end, as it doesn't include any "brokerage fees" that might charged by carriers like UPS for collecting the tariffs for you. Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Exported Chinese electronic groupsets are best for people who are good at figuring stuff out on their own. I'd say 90% of cyclists I meet are pretty clueless. The bike shop guys I know either can't process or have such an internal bias they can't even comprehend a bike market outside of the current western market. Even the anti-bike bike guys are somewhat snobbish with their reverence for everything boutique, steel or titanium and they visit Blug Lug in Japan as some sort of religious patronage. ![]() Saying that, I've been quite satisfied with my 3 LTwoo groupsets. The pros to me outweigh the cons, the price was way affordable, the groupset is incredibly flexible and I've been able to dial-in my shifting and performance. I used Shimano Ultegra mechanical as my baseline for performance and tuned my ER9 groupsets around that. August 27, 2025, 11:43:07 AM |
