Amazing marble effect with just clear coat. If I could go back in time I would order that instead black glossy paint, and save also some gramms. I would like to see it under the sun, it mus look amazing, nice stuff. So mine looks as attached. Paint quality is good but i will add in the next post some flaws in taping and finishing. Here are some pics. It's a nice frame. And since made with EPS, there is no wrinkling and bladder remaining in the frame. Frame weight is including 4 bottle cage bolts and both derailleur hangers (ca. 40g plus ca. 20-30g for clearcoat). Bare frame without paint will be around 810-820g.

Yo the frameset has arrived. Upon quick inspection the "quality" seems to be good. Both headset bearing cups are smooth and the caliper mounts appear to have been faced. Also the bottom bracket area has been faced or at least leveled very well. Overall the frame feels beefy and is what I'd expect from a brand being supplied by an OEM factory. Did I receive a Hambini special? Maybe. However, since the frame is unpainted the factory probably just pulled inventory off the shelf. Today finally made my first test ride! Bit of a shame it was wet roads, so immediately made the new bike dirty  As for how it rides. I can't judge that well to be honest. It was only a 40km ride with wet roads windy and my fitness was a bit more crap then it used to be in my last ride 4 months ago. Also, I don't have much for reference, mainly previous bike, aluminium Canyon endurance disc. But first impression was good! Things I think I noticed (although might be deu to being excited on Riding the new bike )Felt like a bit better acceleration. Frame did feel more comfortable then my alu bike. Stiffness while sprinting and pushing on the pedals felt solid, not flexy. Stiffness of handlebar felt not more flex when standig still. So tested it with some sprints, but felt good and not noodlely on de road. Other then that couldn't really tell anything else. I felt more aero, but that's probably just because it looks more aero

My Granite frame is complete. Paint: This is arguably my best paint job to date. It's a mix of chameleon green/purple paint, 3D glitter paint, and a 2K clear coat applied liberally. Rattle-can paint performs the worst in cold weather, so I kept the cans sitting in hot water between coats. This really helped prevent orange peel and paint drip. Internal routing: As always, the FSA no69 headset system is a gamechanger. However, the supplied set of carbon handlebars isn't really designed for routing 4 cables (2 hydraulic + 2 mechanical shift). I ended up not using them. My go-to bars have always been both the carbon and alloy aero bars from Prime Bike Components. Makes handlebar routing a breeze and the ergonomics are TOP TIER. Sadly this frame uses the terribly designed front derailleur port similar to VeloBuild. This alone will probably be the reason I stick with Sram eTap going forward like I have with my previous two builds. Only gotten a chance to ride it up/down the block to get sone photos. Attached are examples of steel-spoke road wheels. Gravel Wheel Options Gravel wheels can be made lighter by choosing different rim layups. Here's a breakdown of the 35mm and 45mm profiles: 35mm Profile Lightweight: 380g per rim (see attached photo), system limit 135kg Superlight: 355g per rim, saves 50g per set, system limit 100–110kg Ultralight: 315g per rim, saves 130g per set, system limit 90kg 45mm Profile Lightweight: 420g per rim, system limit 135kg Superlight: 395g per rim, saves 50g per set, system limit 100–110kg Ultralight: 355g per rim, saves 130g per set, system limit 90kg Lighter layups do increase cost slightly. Superlight is around $40 USD extra, Ultralight about $80 USD. Best to check with Zara for exact pricing. There’s also a lighter hub option for carbon spokes, which could save another 50g if suitable for gravel. I’ve asked for a cost example using Berd spokes. Hi! I’m not too sure, Maliba . This is obviously the UD paint-free glossy version, so it’s a gloss finish over raw carbon. I do get messages and comments sometimes about imperfections, but if you go for the matte version, it’s not really noticeable. Putting gloss over the carbon just highlights its raw nature. Occasionally, you can see the resin under the carbon, especially in certain lighting. If you want something that looks much more “perfect,” it’s better to go for a black gloss, where they apply a matte black over the rim first and then the gloss on top. New 18Hole Carbon Spoke Road Hub Hi all, We have been developing a new 18-hole road hub platform using a 2:1 spoke layout (front and rear). The hub is in the testing phase, and we would like to share the current technical specifications and design considerations. Technical Overview Spoke holes: 18H front / 18H rear Lacing pattern: 2:1 (front and rear) Estimated weight: approx. 250g (set) Material Hub shell: AL7075 Freehub body: AL7075 Axle: AL7075 Axle standard: Front: 100mm Rear: 142mm 12mm thru axle Bearings: Front: 2 × 6802 Rear: 1 × 15267 + 3 × 6802 Freehub system: Ratchet (36T / 60T) Flange Geometry Front: 42mm / 42mm Rear: Drive side: 53mm Non-drive side: 42mm The larger drive-side flange is designed to support higher spoke load and improve stiffness in a low spoke count configuration. Spoke Layout 18H with 2:1 lacing: Rear: 12 spokes drive side / 6 spokes non-drive side Front: 12 / 6 split This layout improves tension balance compared to a traditional 1:1 low spoke count design. Up to 4.2mm Gauge Carbon Spokes Build Characteristics with reduced spoke count: Each spoke carries higher load Rim spoke holes are subject to greater stress It is more difficult to achieve very low lateral runout compared to 20H builds Rim Compatibility and Testing This hub is not limited to a specific rim model and will be available for different wheel builds. During testing, we are focusing on more reinforced rim structures, as these are better suited to the higher spoke loads in an 18H design. For example: The reinforced version provides improved spoke bed strength, structural stability, and long-term durability. For this reason, reinforced layups are recommended for most riders. Original VaporLite Compatibility Use with extreme ultralight rims such as the original VaporLite 23/25mm inner (50mm Depth Rim ~330g) is still under evaluation due to the lightweigh nature of this rim. A Lateral runout of 18 holes will be at 0.3mm, but if race ready version VaporLite Rim is used (50mm Depth Rim ~380g) its will be 0.2mm, so suggest heavier layup version in long term using. For Orginal VaporLite Model in the lightest rim layup the following conditions would apply: System weight not above 90kg Smooth road use only Frequent checking of spoke tension and wheel runout required User maintenance or professional servicing required This type of build prioritises minimum weight over durability and long-term stability.
