Re: ZTTO MTB M1 Boost hubs 28H 54T Ratchet
I had the splines on the ratchet drive ring shear off yesterday. The hub started making a sound when ratcheting, kind of a louder gyrating noise every time it clicked, so basically the same sound as the ratchet normally, but every few seconds it would start to get louder, then a few seconds it would get quieter. Turned around and headed back to the car to see what was up, hoping it was just running low on grease or something. Eventually I heard a pop and the cranks could just spin. The hub-side ratchet was stuck in the hub and I couldn't get it free with the tools in the car, so headed home. Pried the ratchet out to find all the splines sheared off. I'm kind of thinking that the splines got too dirty and the ratchet started sticking down in the hub. If the hub-side ratchet can't spring outwards, then the freehub-side ratchet would get pushed further inwards towards the hub, and maybe the weird sound I was hearing was the freehub-side ratchet making contact with the ratchet drive ring. I'm thinking that eventually it got pushed so far inwards that maybe the splines from the freehub ratchet started to mesh with the ratchet drive ring? Making it a fixie for an instant until it broke. Contacted ZTTO and they are replacing the ratchet drive ring, but I have no idea how I'll get the old one out with stripped splines... July 04, 2022, 01:26:42 PM |

There was some terrible feedback on Lexon frames bought off of AliExpress. In the attached pictures, top down view from headtube isn't very confidence inspiring though the BB area and under BB cable routing is neat too. Hi, I'm Luca from Italy! I want to share with you my new frameset, i know there is already a topic with this frameset but is difficult to "identify" it.  First of all i placed the order on 13 February, today 23 March the frame was painted and ready to ship. Here the geometry chart:  And some pics of the painted frame:   Glossy white with top tube in raw carbon (glossy) finished. But i think they made it black  My size is 56. BSA bottom bracket. I will complete it with (from previous bike): -Shimano 105 R7020 2x11 hydraulic -FSA SL-K 46/30 with power2max -Kocevlo Integrated gravel handlebar (44x100) For wheels & tyre combo i have (from previous bike) -Hunt 35mm Gravel carbon wheels - 700c -Farsport 40mm Gravel carbon wheels with dt swiss 350hub - 650b Will keep update when i received the frame and start the building. I gave up on Chinese rotors after finding out that low end Shimano rotors are better performers and not too expensive. In current sale 5 off 30, bought 6 of these (SM RT30) for $50 https://a.aliexpress.com/_mqvpf0w Oh and unrelated but possibly interesting. This is what I wanted to do but with the 11sp version. Unfortunately budget didn’t allow it, and at the time you couldn’t get individual pieces. I may convert to that in the future.

Good tip on the Fire Spider equivalent! i just bought the "RTB07" from Tupai Dongguan Sports on Alibaba (not ali express). Buying process was probably the best experience on the chinese market ever! Outstanding even though i made it a bit trickier than usual  After chatting a bit with the companys representative, he confirmed to me that his company is the OEM of the One Pro handlebar and and the RTB07 is the identical unbranded version. I fully trust him! Price is barely 100USD and they shipped within one day.
