Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Received my replacement seat post. DHL wanted the same amount for VAT and handling as the complete frame kit, but that was closer to correct this time 😅

Not mounted yet, but finish looks good with full texture.

I’ve had to do it to a 17k Pinarello and many other “premium” brands when I’ve built up frames.
This is a 700euro frame from China and a very minor inconvenience to resolve. If you’re not able to resolve minor issues yourself, maybe this isn’t the best route to a new bike.

Facing a brake mount means the mount wasn’t properly moulded or was moulded at an angle. What most are talking about in this thread is a minor amount of paint overspray. They are two very different things.

There are quite a few new and inexperienced bike builders who have incorrectly interchange terminology.

Yes, if they say X days, reality might be closer to 2X. Mine arrived about two months later than first promised. Was it annoying? Sure.

But also… perspective matters.

We’re ordering highly customizable carbon frames direct from overseas for a fraction of what big brands charge. Incredible value, tons of options, and a seriously good end product. That combo usually comes with a trade-off somewhere, and in this case it’s patience.

We can’t have premium quality, bargain pricing, full customization AND Amazon Prime speed all at once.

So if your frame is running late: take a breath, ride the bike you already own, maybe stop refreshing tracking for the 14th time today, and remember there are bigger problems in life.

Good things come to those who wait. Mine did.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) Regarding current delivery times, i also asked LC, they told me the current batches are all sold out, and 30-45 build time for black option. (Add the 14 days EU shipping I had, custom paint could be more). That also apparently goes for the other frames, Gravel, LCR17.
Handlebars: I also got a list of available stock of handlebars. It varies quite a bite between all combinations of Stem X width, so YMMV for a particular order, but that should not be the bottleneck right now.

I can only agree with other commentors like Schneedolf, NB87 and POTOOOOOOOO: it's not something to expect from a custom ordering at that price bracket. Lightcarbon operates on much slimmer margins than brands that have warehouses full of stock already shipped to your country.
They are also a very small brand, imagine a small/medium company - I only counted about a couple of dozens employees (frame fac/head office), not comparable to the likes of XDS/X-Lab, Giant etc. at all.
Also hard to scale, and from what I gathered they rather want to grow slowly and sustainable to keep quality level high and business risk low (looking at all the brands who fire employees ATM).

But i feel you, Sucks to wait - For sure! I really enjoying it very much, looking forward to my first race next week.
So if you need a frame for this season, that is unfortunately not gonna work.

So far 10 KOMs and I prefer it to my Caledonia 5.
Some were previously commenting on the frame stiffness- I’ve found no issues whats so ever. The front end is stiffer than the Caledonia which I thiink is a good comparison.
Hard to judge BB stiffness due to different cranks, wheels and tyres - they all add an element of bend into the mix.

Super impressive - I’d absolutely buy another frame from LC. Kinda makes allot of other more expensive stuff feel rather irrelevant.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) My Feb 11th order just arrived. Was about 1 week shipping time to Montreal, CA so pretty good. Box was beat to hell but the contents seem all good. I'm happy to report a VERY grippy treatment added to the seat post as mentioned a page ago in this thread.
