Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road)
Hi all, Woke up this morning to some great news - Carol has emailed to say my 54 frameset is on the way. A slight hiccup in that she said DPD customs paid is not available to N.Ireland, so she has suggested UPS with a low declared value. I dont really have much option other than to agree, so fingers crossed all goes ok. She sent me one quick photo to show everything - all looks really good (I wish they took high quality photos of the frame finish!), but overall I can't wait to get it here and get building. I'll take some high quality photos when it arrives and ive also just got a little endoscope, so will be able to take some internal shots to check everything out.

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road)
Hello guys, I finally rode my bike today and I’m very impressed with its stiffness. It wasn’t my first build, but it was definitely the easiest one. Everything fit exactly as it should, without any issues (let’s ignore the integrated cables ).After previous experience with AXS, I chose a mechanical 2x12 105 groupset with an Ultegra crankset and VXM 160mm brake rotors [great brake power], Novatec R4 wheelset. Di2 battery and cables are not my cup of coffee. A few insights: I’m 193 cm tall, 93 cm inseam, 110 kg. The frame is pretty stiff during sprints, but the seatpost is creaking (or maybe the saddle? Not sure yet). The seatpost is installed with carbon paste and tightened to 9 Nm. Specs: LightCarbon frameset size 58 – 1,196 g Color: raw carbon glossy LightCarbon fork – 463 g Expander – 57 g Headset and all accessories – 219 g LightCarbon specific seatpost (straight) – 191 g Thru axle rear M12 P1.5 L 16 165 mm – 37 g LightCarbon cockpit 440/120 mm – 341 g Bag – 50 g Door – 57 g Total weight with pedals and all accessories – 8.6 kg Total price – 1,600 EUR (since November I’ve been hunting for the best deals; otherwise the price could have been around 2,500 EUR) Waiting time after ordering: 4 weeks (production and delivery) In the photo I’m running 40 mm tires on 23 mm internal rim width. My road tires are 32 mm. February 28, 2026, 11:52:41 AM |
