Velobuild VB-R-177 Hi all, after lurking on here for ages and doing my own research, I've pulled the trigger and order a Velobuild VB-R-177.
The geometry is almost exactly the same as a Scott Addict as far as i can tell.
No word on when shipping will be yet - this is a new design so the frame is in testing, but that was due to finish at the end of March.

I also ordered some 47mm wheel from Elite Wheels on Aliexpress. Production time for these is 13-20 working days, and shipping is 25-50 working days so i don't expect to see these very soon.
Also going one by as I hate front derailleurs! 42T Sram chainring with a 10-36 11speed cassette from Aliexpress.

Let's see how I get on!

Re: Has anyone seen reviews on the Winspace C5? I am also interested in the C5.  Being over 50 y.o, this bike has a more relaxed geometry.  I am also looking for more hands on reviews for this frame.  I also with that the bike came with a T47 bottom bracket.

LEXON Road Carbon Crankset

Just received the LEXON R1 hi-mod carbon cranks today and they are really beautiful. Did a quick unbox clip just to show the item and weight, plus the accompanying Xcadey Powermeter which will be mated with the carbon cranks.

Seeing is really believing as the weight is amazingly light at 331/332 grams for cranks with spindle. Adding the alloy spider gave 372 grams. After replacing the crank spider with the powermeter, the overall weight without chainring bolts is 435 grams. Still amazingly light before installation on my TIME ADH23.

Re: LEXON Road Carbon Crankset It is installed but without powermeter until I get a replacement lockring. The bike went from 7.4kg to 7.1kg in a single swap of the cranks.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) Took me a bit longer to make this post.  Overall experience has been really good.  The fit of everything was spot on. Full build came in at 15.2 lbs without pedals (size 52).  For being that light, I am also surprised at how stiff it feels in accelerations.  My order was handled well and had great communication. I really like the color but it is more purple than I expected, but it looks great.  You can see in the sunlight it has the orangish chameleon, but the purple is the dominant color. Paint selection was LCB-02HS. Current setup is gp5000 28mm, but have a second wheelset with 32mm gp5000. One bummer is the width of handlebar options.  I went with the 40 x 110 handlebar and I have been running narrower bars and would have selected narrower, if available.

I will quickly address some of the items on this thread:
My frame has a drain hole under the BB
I will say that the layup feels pretty thin below the bottle cage on the downtube.  It is a larger tube size, but the wall thickness feels thin.
Brake caliper mounts are faced
Rear thru axle does require more torque than other frames (but doesn't appear to be any thread damage, so I don't know, not really an issue to me, but a previous poster described this).

I had to cut the seat tube to get my fit right, but just 1/2" or so.
I also ran into an issue with the seatpost clamp.  After riding I needed to adjust, and upon retorque the clamp to 6nm something with the pins that hold the bolt broke.  I have contacted LC and will update with how quickly they respond.  I am pretty sure their clamp is a tried and true design across other frames, so I am not quite sure. I want to tear it apart to see whats going on but it is kind of a captive part.

hope it will last a thousand miles...

issues on the build process;
1. Routing the FD cable is a bit of problem but able to run on the bottom of BB.
2. BB thread is clean unlike the many VBR218 issues.
3. I forgot to consider the expander thickness on top of steerer tube so I do cut twice ;D
4. I put a bit of spacer in the base of rear brake instead of sanding the inner side to avoid delaminating the paint.
5. I overtighten(5nm) my seatpost bolts at first try that left some paint crack :'( i hope it's a not a problem later on. It's okay now, not sliding down anymore.
6. Bleeding the brakes and alignment is one hell of experience  ;D
7. Aligning the RD is easier than the FD :D

initial ride(20kms) feel is stiff and maybe i am too excited to push which i felt lighter than my all-rounder bike(7.8kg SL4 copy ;D)... let me try to some hill climb to compare...
