Lexon road frame
I've been following this frame since it showed up on AliExpress and more pictures have been showing up. I also got them to send me a picture of the frame on a scale which is great. I love the deep look of the frame and am thinking about picking one up as my first Chinese frame. For now just posting pics I've found for posterity. Looks like a size 47 frame is 1040g probably with no metal and the fork is 507g December 29, 2022, 09:03:57 PM |

Re: Lexon road frame
Did you end up buying it ? I didn't. After looking at geometry it's a pretty slow steering bike. Very good for straight, not great for turns February 05, 2023, 09:59:30 AM |

Re: Ace Sprint carbon wheels on Aliexpress
Wheels came in today! First impression is WOW! Finish and build is fantastic. I really wasn't expecting the logos to be of high quality but they are maybe some of the best I've seen on wheels. They are not busy stick on decals. Weight for 60/75 came in at 1320 gr. That's in line with climbing wheels from a decade ago! Disc is 963gr with valve stem. Shipping was about 8 days. Shipped via FedEx to the USA. Pictures below. I won't be able to report on ride for a while. It's winter here and roads are a mixed bag. My only complaint would be that I was expecting the rear hub to be a star ratchet with ceramic bearings. It's a 3 pawl hub with what look like standard steel bearings. This isn't the end of the world but different than what was communicated. February 07, 2024, 04:32:31 PM |

Re: Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 Carbon Road Frame
Added photos of the R088 frameset. A few quick observations. The chain stays and seat stays are really thin. The bottom bracket shell is tiny. The fork spacing is wide. The tire clearance for this frame is spec'ed for 32c, but the rear triangle area looks small, so it'll probably be a tight fit. I forgot to take photos of the head tube, but I put bearings on each end, and the fit is snug with no play. I didn't have much faith in SPCycle's paint work and went with UD glossy since it's easy to touch up, but I prefer it over painted black. In a lot of ways it's just a more refined version of the TFSA SL6 clone I'm planning to replace. I don't have those wire cameras, but from what I could peak from the BB shell and head tube, the EPS molding does look smooth. Also it looks similar to the SL8 knock-offs minus the ass sniffer head tube. I'm curious to see how stiff this frame will be, it almost looks anorexic. If I was a big boy, I might be scared of riding this. Overall, I think this will be a quick parts swap from my older frame. I'll see if I can finish the build this this week. ![]() December 31, 2024, 12:49:53 PM |

Our own patliean1 made it to The Nero Show

Re: Our own patliean1 made it to The Nero Show
In all seriousness a lot of my earlier victories came from the support of this forum. This is the only place I interact with folks outside of my YouTube and Instagram. Building up western branded bikes/wheels is cool obviously. And the quality can't really be denied. But my heart will always come back to the project builds and budget bikes. Call it grassroots or a cult hahaha, but China bikes are here to stay. I think being here also keeps me sane and humble. January 04, 2025, 05:50:02 AM |

Re: TideaceBike New mold Road Frame FM-CR068 groupbuy
So DPD managed the delivery today. I must admit the paint job is very good again as it is my second tideace frame. There is just one small bubble on the downtube logo. Both brake mounts are flat and fine. Here are some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/gX1VRTM The frame is a size L. I hope for a build around 7,5 to 7,7 kg. I will use a Speeder Cycling handlebar with FSA ACR and now awaiting the top cover puzzle set from AliExpress. Groupset will be SRAM RED E1, BBinfinite bottom bracket, Fizik Antares Adaptive Saddle, Look Keo Carbon TI pedals and Nextie ARX60 wheelset with Conti GP5000. January 07, 2025, 02:54:21 PM |
