Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame I've reached VB for torque specs.
That's what I get:

Seatpost mount  5.5Nm
Saddle rails clamp  8.0Nm
Handlebar/stem bolts 5.0Nm
Expander plug 8.0Nm
Computer mount 3.0Nm
Brake caliper mounts 5.0Nm front and 8.0Nm Rear


I can see that I am not the only one having issues with rear caliper mount. How do you guys manage it? Do you have any clever tips to align it? Usual methods i.e. tightening mounting bolts with a brake engaged with or without metal shim doesn't work.

I love everything about this frame, high quality, excellent riding and love the small details:
- Integrated handlebar with cables hiding
- Mavic Safe Release
- Very well made aero seat-post with zero offset. It comes also with two clamps for a 7 and 9 mm (carbon) seat rails. I use a Selle Italia SLR boost carbon seat

A couple of suggestions:

1. With rim brakes the quick releases were part of the wheel, with disk brakes the thru-axle is part of the frame. The Mavic Safe Release is great but.. stays with the wheel which is good but if you want to use the thru-axle for something else like use a chain keeper to clean the chain without the wheel is not easy. So here is the tip: order a pair of Mavic Safe Release when you order the frame, yes it will cost you few more $ but it is worth it.

2. If you do your own maintenance you may or may not have the correct bike repair stand. The best way to clamp the bike is from the seat-post front and back, my previous rack was excellent for round seat-post but was not good for this aero seat-post so I invest few $ in a new stand.

A major asset of a company is how they interact with the customers, here VB is unique, Chris is gold is like having a friend inside of the company and major plus to order from VB.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe Does anyone else wonder why this frame can be ordered but there’s not a single photo of it on the site? Are they just lazy or does it actually mean customers literally get the first units to ever come out of the mold? VB was also present at Eurobike, right? But I can’t remember having seen this frame there in the numerous videos online. IIRC they had their new gravel frame at the stand.

Re: New Avenger R8-RS I cannot open it, so I don't know. The mount is rather one of a kind, the angle is strange, the holes are angled. I tried to use one I have for the shuttle, and it's different. The mount fits, but the garmin is really angled. Could you please provide a screen. Moreover, someone above put a photo of how it looks.

Re: New Avenger R8-RS Just for others, the short manual how to assemble the handlebar. The manual is also attached to my previous post, but I added it here one more time. Regarding the geometry, the most important is that is not correct! You should reduce 3 cm from the stack, it's lower! I can show you the numbers later. That is why I have 8 spacers so 4 cm instead of 2 spacers as I assumed! Some quick update before some final review. Bike is really great, I was on the race in the mountains, Tatra Road Race, ~82 km, 2300 up, no issues. Conditions so the weather was really terrible, so wind and rain, and I felt very confident on it.

Re: New Avenger R8-RS It was one of the quickest cable routing in the history, honestly. It's quite easy, as the stem and the bar are two elements. You can firstly go through the first element, and then through the handlebar. The channel from the rear brake is also a standard one, the frameset are very well made, no sharp edges, all is great so I can say that without a watch it took me around 90 minutes to assembly the whole bike. I was rather not in a rush ;) Have a look on the manual I had attached, it's really helpful.
