Re: CarbonSpeedCycle CSC wheels - avoid them So I just bought a new set of CSC wheels - Disc, 45mm / 28mm wide with their OEM DT Like hub. The wheels came dead true and evenly tensioned. I took the hub apart and it was well greased. Shipping was 3 weeks to Chicago.
This would be my fourth experience with CSC over the last 5 years.  I have had a very good experience with them so far. I'm sad to see you have had issues.    I do agree there is little technical support from them But, I have not needed any.

My riding buddy has had his 50mm CSC Disc wheelset w/ novatec hubs for 3 years (8k miles a year on mixed, flat terrain -160lb rider) and his wheels have needed zero maintenance. I serviced them once a year for him and the original bearings are still in good shape and the wheels have needed zero truing. There is a little cassette bite on the freehub but that is really a novatec issue and not a CSC thing.
I rode a borrowed pair a few years back and my brother has a 2 yr old set as well with the same result.

Just my honest feedback and experience. Hope that helps anyone out there giving them a look. I'm interested to see how the OEM hub performs long term.  Initial look appears to be good quality. I am prepared for the bearings to be rather short lived  (they are un branded black seal non contact bearings - smooth out of the box) but I can replace them easily if they get gritty.

Re: Long term experience with RD13 hubs? Elite is selling so many of them, i think if they sucked or self destructed, we'd have heard about it.
+1 on hub maintenance though. I pay much more attention to my bikes since waxing my chains, because it's not nasty to handle anymore. So wet riding means water will go places it shouldn't be, so expect to take stuff apart more often to clean and regrease. Just like maintaining pedals, or other bits, i'd say.

Re: CarbonSpeedCycle CSC wheels - avoid them Quick update on my Carbon Speed Cycle Disc wheels bought in Feb 24'. It's now August 24' and I've put 1500 miles on them mostly over summer conditions.  The wheels have been flawless. No problems. Spokes are still evenly tensioned and no spoke breakage.  The wheels are fast and good quality. Hub bearings still like new.

Re: CarbonSpeedCycle CSC wheels - avoid them Mr Kubackje:  Got it. So I am not a trustworthy member here because I actually took the time to come back and provide a long term update with my personal experience. Sorry for trying to give something back to the community rather than just consuming and trolling other members.  I have gotten value from the reviews of oither members here - was trying to pay something foreword to the next guy.

Re: Recomendations 27.2mm carbon seatpost
Did anyone ride it with a bikebacking bag attached to it and saddle? Should it hold that too?

I did with no problem

Re: Elite Wheels Shipping I've purchased two wheelsets from EliteWheels on AliExpress, one early this year and another recently.

For the first wheelset, they asked for extra time (35 days from memory) via the AliExpress messaging system.

For the second wheelset, they asked for 25 days extra time, but then I got another message soon after saying they had the wheels ready to go.

In both cases, the wheels arrived in great condition, though delivery for the first wheelset took a lot longer (more than one month vs less than 10 days).

Seems to me that if they happen to have inventory of the particular set you ordered, then you'll get them fast. Otherwise you'll have to wait for the next production run.

Re: Alternative to ICAN G25 (50mm X 30+mm outer width Rims) I received mine with a week of ordering, China to Houston!
Quality looks good, packaged very well, extra spokes included and tape (not great quality tbh), I went for the 50x30 with d272 hubs. You can see them I my build thread

Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets middle year discount promotion Fuckin hell it's not looking good. My first contacts with Leon was on official yuanan email sales@yuananbike.com. he contacted me after I've used the form on their website. I've ordered wheels and all was good. If he had access to the email and messages he clearly was with them.

But now there is a problem because I've ordered a new pair of wheels on 27.07.2024 with carbon spokes etc. and since then Leon was ghosting me and after few weeks replied that factory informed me they don't have those carbon spokes and need to outsource then bla bla bla. I demanded refund and he basically disappeared after promising it will be done this week.

What's most stupid from me side is that I've chose the option "friends and family" on Paypal and now basically I think I may just lost 800$
