Re: Titanium bolts
I'm contemplating replacing a few of the steel bolts with titanium bolts (seat clamp, stem, steerer top cap). Is there anything I need to watch out for? Any corrosion or other concerns with putting a titanium bolt through a steel or aluminum part? Any preferred suppliers or ones to avoid? You’ll want to get some Finish Line Ti Prep and coat the bolts with it when installing. Cold welding is definitely an issue with titanium and aluminum in contact with each other. Re: Power meter suggestions for T47bb bike
This is probably not going to be a popular opinion on this forum, but I would buy a used Quarq As a counterpoint, my first road Quarq suddenly started gifting me about 500W average power on my rides... unfortunately, just two months after the two-year warranty expired. SRAM support was very kind and offered me a replacement. I only had to pay for the GPX to DUB conversion (my choice). Meanwhile, both my XCADEY on the MTB and the Quarq on my gravel bike have been running strong for years, despite frequent mud plastering. The takeaway: all devices are probably reliable, but bad luck can strike sometimes. A confirmed reliable user support is key. November 23, 2024, 04:19:17 AM |

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
I took a sceptical punt on a pair of YKYW bibs and damn it, they're more comfortable than my Castelli Premio bibs that cost five times as much. Great pad, nice materials, and everything seems well made. I'm slightly blown away. Rule of thumb. As long as you DONT go for the absolutely FAKE branded items on there (PNS, PAS, MAAP) you will be happy with the purchase. July 17, 2025, 02:57:37 PM |
