On the lower trunnion shock mount, are there bearings or bushings there? The bolts look similar to other pivot points that contain bearings so I'm curious. The shock shouldn't move much in relation to the frame at the bottom mount, but will move some so I'm hoping they have done something to accommodate the movement.

I want to buy this frame as I'm in need of one, but I'm a bit skittish as the owner of an unrideable AM831...

1002 owners, have you been happy with your shock tunes? Many of you have DPX2s or Super Deluxes fitted that I’d assume are the stock aftermarket Medium tune….

If I go with a 1002 frame I want to get the suspension right on the first try, so I’m hoping to benefit from the experience of those who’ve already tested this on the trails. Any info related to shock tuning on the 1002 would be much appeciated!

I just put the rebound in the middle and the sag on around 25%, I don't really know what im doing and don't really feel the difference (for the fork I just used rockshox's site - https://trailhead.rockshox.com/en/)

Yeah agreed. There just is not enough good feedback on the completed bikes for many of these frames. If the chainstays and seatstays on these bikes are under engineered and flexy, going to a Horst link configuration connected to a vertical pivot link isn't necessarily going to fix it.

If I remember correctly, in aliexpress you can ask for your money back after 3 months if the goods didnt arrive so you dont need to get worried at all,
usually it arrives before the 3 months mark, try to use the 17track site to see what info it gives about your package, it sometimes more accurate than what aliexpress giving in their site

if on the 3 months mark it didnt arrive -

* you can talk to the seller and ask him to prolong the purchase protection time (if i remember correctly as long as you in the purchase protection from ali you will able to get a full refund if the item doesnt arrive)

* you can start a dispute to get your cash back, in the dispute the seller can leave a comment, usually the seller will tell you something like "please cancel the dispute trust me its on the way", i usually just tell them that they can trust me that i will pay them if the item will arrive in the following month, and ali just gives you your payment back

From the internet it seems  that - if you want to go in full speed and just bulldozer the track go RAD+ and beyond, if you want to be nimble and do more 'tricks' go RAD and RAD-

I'm 183cm and took the the fm1002 L with 50mm stem and it around RAD+ I think

From the 'stack' and 'O' of the fm1001 I wonder if I would ended up on RAD or RAD- on size L on that bike

So I think the more aggressive the bike (geo+suspension) the more they 'stretch' it in each size, they assume you buy this aggressive bike shred and go fast

Got it , I still have some work to do on it so I've been riding only in the city for now (when it will be trail ready i will post some nice pics with with the trail view)

So far it feels absolutely great,
but I'm not a bike expert and it is my first full-sus, modern geo bike,
I pedal with the shock open and don't really notice it (maybe i just set it to be too firm (~25% sag))
even tho i set my handle bar way to high it climbs better than my smaller hardtail prob because the sit, feels more inwards
the sitting position feels comfortable (i did around 90Km so far) but that can change when i will adjust the handle bar height
the only downside is my tires rolling resistance (2.5 and 2.4 DHF/DHR) which is a drag in the city

If you used torque wrench and your breaks work I don't think your bike will fall apart haha, you can also make sure that the derailleur shifting limits are set correctly so you wont shift the chain out of the cassette.

The main thing you should worry about is that this is addictive and soon enough you will find yourself building and fixing bikes for all the people you know
