just curious, is anyone running this as a gravel bike? The 1056 appeals to me as a frame that could double up as a road or gravel bike (perhaps with 2 sets of wheels), and I was wondering if I'm correct in this assessment.

I was using mine with 700x32 road tires on gravel and road mix this week. A few of the roads I would have liked wider but the bike itself handled it well.

I’m holding out to see if I can get a used set with some 38/40s. I think that would be ideal of the gravel I deal with.

Is anybody running 650 wheels? What size tire can you get on? Debating getting a set of 650s for pure gravel rides.

Can you upload a photo? If its the plastic cone stopper, you can ease it out with a small flat head.

I just found two spring washers loose in my bike box I assume they go to the headset? My headset was in pieces in the box when my frame arrived. Does anyone know where these spring washer go? I haven't ridden my bike yet so no harm done.

I was trying to figure that out last night too. Best I can tell is they can be used as spacers between the compression ring above the top headset bearing and the dust cap to stop it from rubbing on the frame

It's always nice when someone says you're wrong and then posts a link which says you're right.  For 25-27mm tyres, schwalbe recommend a minimum internal rim width of 20mm, according to your chart. 

Also this is for safety.  Re: aero and tyre profile you're undoubtedly better going with something 20-21mm ID and ~28mm OD on their Pro Ones for 25-27mm.

Schwalbe and just about every other manufacturer recommends significantly wider than ETRTO both for safety, optimal profile, and aero reasons.  ETRTO is basically an industry legal ass covering as far as tyre / rim widths are concerned.

I don't think you're reading the chart correctly at all. The dark blue is Schwalbe additional recommendations to what the ETRTO standard is not recommended in place of.

The shipping for these wheels is crazy slow. I ordered them with everything else, but the wheels are the only thing I haven't received yet.

Also in Ontario haha, I went with the VB-RC-50-25mm with novatec 791/792 hubs since I also ordered a VB-099. Ordered Aug 17, wheels shipped Aug 24, and I picked them Sept 1. Crazy fast shipping compared to my past experiences. They look great so far, no blemishes. Only potential problem I see is the included 'tubeless tape' strip thing is not very confidence inspiring. Especially once I put some valves in. I'm probably just going to cut it off and replace with some actual tubeless tape instead of wasting time trying it.
