Did you buy the frame full price, or was it a bargain?
I don't defend them, but may be they are selling frames with quality issues at a low price. Thinking it is all right.

Do you get a sizing error?
The images must be below 512kb each, and below 1024kb in total.
I look forward for the pics.

At our level, after riding a 120mm fork for a while.
We would probably notice a handling change, doing a switch to 100mm.

But that difference would disappear after a few rides.
So if you start with a 120mm it will be your first experience with the bike, and it will be probably good.

It looks very nice!
How does it ride compared to your previous bike?

After The Ride / Re: Chinertown Strava Group?

I joined too, and use an iPhone 6.

Getting the 20% battery warning after about 4:30h
But only with 4G off. Wifi off. And all useless apps off too.
For longer rides, I use a Verbatim Power Pack 3500mAh that gives a 175% charge.

To just record a ride, I use Strava's app.

And if I need navigation: ViewRanger.com that has offline maps.
It records the ride too, as a GPX file, you can then import in Strava.

I was so excited by mcmaster.com, until finding out they do not sell outside the US, what a disappointment

Anyone know a similar shop around here ?
There doesn't seem to have any :(

There is definitely one free set here, but on the other side of the Atlantic.

No chance to get it by Friday, I'm afraid.
Unless you have a FedEx/UPS account.

When I ordered some spare drop outs, Bert from IPlay sent me these two pictures, to be sure the one I needed.

There are old and new shapes of drop outs it seems.
The ones that came with my 256 frame are the new.

Although they are 142x12, but the screw holes and the shape of the 135 is mostly the same (I have a useless set here in Europe if that helps).

I ordered the same few hours ago! :D
Few months ago, I bought one already, but returned it, as it needed a 104BCD spider.

What I think? Well... You shouldn't do that on this forum.

You just copy pasted the content of this page:

29er / Re: Bended XX1 derailleur cage
« on: July 19, 2015, 04:30:29 PM »
I did my first ride today with the unlikely mix of the XX1 cassette, the XTR 11 rear dérailleur and the X11SL chain(thanks cmh for the info, I'll check how the chain and pulleys interact).

I'm very happy of the change.
The shifting is crisp, more than with the XX1 dérailleur.
The move of the dérailleur seems to be firmer and precise.
And frankly the shifter an dérailleur looks better engineered and solid.
So if you break unfortunately your dérailleur, you may consider this option.
I miss the gripshift though.

I initially tried an PC-X1 chain, but it was jumping under load on the smaller sprockets.
Every 2-3 pedal revs, so probably a wrong link.
I don't know what to look at really, but I checked it and didn't see anything wrong.
So I put the X11SL back, and will contact the seller.
