There are two modes for the shifter cable.

Either you run only the cable trough the frame, as designed.
Stopping the hose at each end.
And passing the cable trough the rails you see when opening the bottom hatch.

Or run the full hose + cable through the frame. Over the BB shell.
Here is a description how I did it: http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,230.msg2109.html#msg2109

Just for information, the SRAM hose coming with the XX1 group has an outer diameter of 4mm, while Jagwire has a 4.5mm

The 057 and 256, and probably most frames, have as well an aluminium shell for the bottom bracket sealed in the carbon.

I did not order my 256 from IPlay, but from Honsen Bikes.
As it was the new "super light" model available back in June.

Since there is no copyright there.
Someone has probably designed it(IPlay claims they did it for the 256).

Then many companies, seem to collaborate/improve them and either build or just sell, the same models changing the first letters and keeping the same number.

Compared to my previous Cannondale Rush 26", FS carbon.
The 256 hard tail frame + 29" carbon wheels is definitely a true racing bike, for gravel, mud and roots.

All this, said in total objectivity  :D

The screws that came with my 256 frame(drop out, bottom hatch,...) are crap too, and they are rusting already.
I have in my todo list to change them.

For now, I try to insure the hex/torx key is well placed, and clean the hole, before tightening.

I didn't consider you may have an existing 135mm hub/wheel to match. Sorry.

142x12 is just an improvement in rigidity.
And make it easier/faster to align the wheel and brake disc.

The rear dropouts looks from an older age.
Thru axle are more rigid and easy to use.

But if you really like that frame more than the classical 057 and 256 most of us have here.
May be ask if they have 142x12 compatible dropouts, available for that frame.

For the shipping anxious(that I understand).
Just to let you know that my package arrived this morning, while the EMS tracking still states they are in Xiamen.
This confirms again that in general the shipments arrive.

If you don't have installed the bottom bracket and the headset, you can easily do it without the white straws.
Entering to the rear.
Helping it go over the BB shell with your fingers.
While you push from the rear, you can always help it move with your fingers
Then from the headset hole, you can guide the brake line out of the left side of the frame.

For the bleed, since you will probably have to cut the tube.
Even if you loose some drops, during the operation.
If you make a nice cut, you reach the liquid again.

And one thing to avoid, is to touch the lever while it is disconnected.
This will throw all the liquid out, and you'll have to bleed it for sure.

If that may help you, I'm at day 14 for some smaller parts, and it is still indicating "Xiamen de!spatch" something.
The EMS tracking may have some issues right now. It was even down this morning(Europe).
Do not worry. All people(but one if I remember well) got their things in the end.

While cleaning the rear derailleur this morning.
I noticed some play between the frame and the derailleur.
All four screws of the dropouts were lightly loose.

May be you should check yours.
Beware, the heads are Torx not Hexa.

carbon_dude, I will try to get the SRAM replacement.
But as you say, trying another brand may be the best.

cmh, thanks for the measurement trick.
I'm just coming from a night ride, and will check tomorrow if I'm still within the 1/8" range.

It is seeming more and more to me that, with XX1, all the components will wear out together and when the time comes you replace the cassette, chain, and chainring at the same time.

Hi Carbon_Dude, I cleaned my 28T chainring yesterday.
And saw some clear wear marks on it, and it has only 500km.

The cassette is fine.
I don't have a tool to measure my chain.
So I don't know about it.

What explanation did you/your lbs gave to SRAM so they replaced it for you?

I'm 178 too but with 88cm inseam.
Had the same in-the-middle issue, and did choose the 19".
It had about the same sizes (especially the stack/reach) of my previous bike that wasn't giving me any pain or discomfort.

With a 90mm stem, and a seatpost with 2.5cm back offset.
The bike fits perfectly(knees just over the pedals. No pain after long rides, etc.)

I'm near Brussels.
A shopping distance for our US friends.
But another country for us :)

Let me know if you'd like me to take some real measurement dropping the seatpost for 5-7cm.
