Looks so trick! How do you like the OG-EVKIN bar? :)

I'm 70kg and have no issues with it. It's not a full 130mm trail bike, but it's not designed to be that, although it is very capable! I'm grateful for it's sub 12kg weight on the long climbs for sure!

Love my FM936. How much do you weigh?

Invoice Date. 07.10.2020

I continue to ride on the old frame, it feels all right with it, I'm waiting for it to break completely :)
Thanks! I remember the photo you put! Almost looks like a paint crack, did you confirm it was a carbon crack? - either way its good to hear carbonda warranty. - Honestly name brands are almost worse to deal with.

yes, I was lucky to buy a frame from a defective lot. The cracks around the top link started back in December, just a month after the purchase. I recently received a new front triangle.

Carbonda's warranty support is one of the best, many thanks to them.
Ah  no! When did you order the frame/delivery? worried i'm in the same batch! :o

For this OG-Evkin ba: If the setback is 35mm and the bar is 65mm stem, the effective stem length is 30mm right?

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Groupset Stock (or lack of!)
« on: March 16, 2021, 02:30:37 PM »
I can't believe lack of stock across so many components is such an issue now. I understand covid delays last year, then over-demand with lockdowns and then brexit this year but didn't think we'd still be talking about this in March!

I managed to catch a new(ish) R8020 set on ebay this week for £700 which I felt was a good deal (hopefully no one will tell me otherwise now hah). It had been taken off a brand new bike by someone was upgrading to Dura-Ace so never actually ridden.

In the summer I was building my FM936, I literally had to buy from all 4 continents. like 10 retailers or something. Things were going out of stock as i was buying them hahaha Lead time is a hell of a thing!

I think I have size anxiety...  ::)

I'm about to pull the trigger on a frame and after having read through a bunch of comments in this tread I was set on a size M.
But then I ran across this:

(I can't find any size recommendations on NS site but maybe I'm not looking in the right place?)

According to this chart I'm dead square in the "L"-camp...

I'm 178cm with a ~84cm inseam and have historically always been between size M and L.
One of the general tips I read is "compare it to you old bike and go with that", the problem with that is I haven't ridden MTB in donkeys years and my old bike is a 26" with V-brakes... (it's not even that it's low spec. (XT/XTR/CrossMax) it's just that old...) That bike is a size L (19").

Help anyone?
I don't know how accurate that chart is. According to that, im 185cm. I would be XL. I have long arms & legs, im 100% certain L is better than XL for me.  I'm running a 60cm stem FYI.  I can't tell you one is best for you sorry :(

ordered, delivering accepted by last mile carrier... (so hopefully in the next few days)
Did it arrive? I'm hovering over the buy button hahah Don't quite understand why It can't be delivered to Ireland (EU) from Spain.. but it can be delivered to France, Germany etc. Anyone know how to get around that? Thanks

Where did you see this?
Didn't have any issue before.
And the update few days ago, didn't bring any issue either.
I second this. IMO the thing works perfectly in the real world. :)

Just finished my build. Target weight was under 11kg and landed on 10,8 total with pedals.
I hope I can come out on a suspension tuning ride tomorrow. ;D
Looks amazing! Wow, fantastic weight. Are you using carbon bars?

There is a great thread on weightweenies regarding the new dual sided Magene PM. The thread compares power readings with other PMs and compares shifting performance aswell. Long story short: dodgy numbers compared to assiomas and smart trainer. Dodgy shifting aswell. For clarity, I personally own a left sided Magene. I wanted this PM to be a big success. I was an early backer of the Kickstarter but pulled out after the GPlama video.
I've just read it...... pray for me ahahaha To be honest they money i paid for it, I figured that even if I don't like it, I can sell it for at most a modest loss. For sure they won't continue selling them for <300 usd IMO, so I thought it was worth the risk. I'll do a full review here when I recieve it.
